what i suspect is maybe the clutch plate..cos when i clutch in its like a grinding kind of sound being emitted...i jus bought this bike not long ago only...sianz...it occurs when i wan to change to first gear and 2nd 3rd gear...

Reach for your dreams.Never say never without trying.

guys, to anybody dat have experience using Pirelli Diablo tyres (not the diablo corsa, just the normal diablo only), any comments about this tyre?

i just got mine few days back n it steers kinda heavy compared to the metzeler MeZ3 before this, and i feel cornering performance not so good. when i put the tyres side by side, the diablo has a flatter centre.

Yesterday was history, tomorrow is mystery, today is a blessing. I love today.

Pirelli Diablo centre is flatter, I agree. No wonder steering is stiffer. I also just change mine from SportTec M-1 to BT014. Not bad leh. I find it sharper steering. Beside the flatter centre, wat pros and cons did this Diablo have?

ya i can see that mileage will be very good, should be able to last me more than 12K kms gua... i dun have much of a choice cos the fireblade (pre 2000) models have 16" front rim. dun have much choice for the front: oni have selection of diablo, sportec, BT014. if i wanted BT014 have to go KL n buy RM430 , sportec price is RM550, diablo is RM400 in malacca. :sian:

btw can u help me find a 17" front rim for my bike? at least next time i have better choice of tyres like supercorsa...

pros:

better mileage

cons:

less wet grip

slower steering

flatter profile, less cornering grip

tyre is slightly heavier

at the moment this is how i feel abt the tyre, maybe next few days i will take to the twisties to push it to the limit...see how low can the stupid thing go. need to build up my confidence again cos this tyre totally feels different fr my old tyre.

anyway how u guys feel abt the BT014? heard a lot good remarks abt it, but was reluctant to buy cos many ppl had bad experiences on bridgestones before this...including me..

I m on Diablo Corsa now and i dun find that the DC is in any way more superior than the BT014.

Be it on track or road.

Infact, i felt my cornering is better on the BT014.

While u r travelling on the straights, the side walls is being heated up.

So u do not need to warm up the sides by going from left to right. (this is subjected to the distance travelled and speed and torque created.)

I went from a same distance and speed on this 2 tyres and when the corner approached, i felt more grip from the BT014 than on the DC.

Steering is better too.

Can hold line better too.

I know its a road tyre and is Bridgestones.

But i m not exaggerating, its what i felt.

All i can say is Bridgestone had build an ultimate road tyre.

if possible i would want to get 1 like jimmy's front. its a forged aluminium specially made for CBR9. has all the needed holes to fit the disc brakes and meter gear.

so far wat ah chong planet told me is can try the S4 PB1 rim (3-spokes), it has the meter gear, but not sure about the disc brakes holes.

so best i can get a new rim (aftermarket) made for my bike...since i oredi spent so damn much on the disc brakes... die la still have to spend more lagi ! :faint: :faint: :faint: :faint:

wow actually heard quite some good comments abt the BT014 oredi... just dat due to my past experience and some of my frens here dats y i was reluctant to try.

here is like everybody boycott bridgestone. (all older models like 012,010,011 etc)

even when the bridgestone dealer called me up to offer me a free BT014 front when i complained about my 010 cupping problem, i even told him i would rather pay for a better tyre n wont use bridgestones again...

well if this is the case that bridgestone has upgraded their technology then maybe in future i will try the BT014 out...

anyway for my pirelli diablo i would just rate it a 6.5/10

haloo you comparing DC size 180 to bt014 190 size..

bt014 is a road tire, should be more user friend and the leaning feel is more gradual.. which is why many ppl feel confident on the tire..

DC is a more agressive tire, the tire is very steep and the leaning is much faster.. allowing bike to changing direction faster.. the foot print on the road is also much more..

at speed, you'll feel that the DC will wobble cause of the steep front tire..

i only get to try diablo only(not diablo corsa) on size 180 and 190.. personally i don't feel the difference in terms of directional change.. but i can really feel that a 190 tires give impressive amount of grip than the 180.. and one more point is that 1000cc bike have wider rims design for 190 tires.. if a 180 tire is fitted, the shape of the smaller tire will change..

thanks for ur feedback, i also almost forgot there are 190 sized tyres too.

so do u mean that the DC is a better tyre? i am looking for a tyre with best grip when making sharp and high speed corners. dun really go for top speed... the steeper the tyre the better.

anyway guys i need some comments abt the sportec M-1. i will need to change my rear tyre by next week (before Kata_killer come) else i cannot ride liau.

i am thinking between a Pirelli Diablo, Pirelli Diablo Corsa, Sportec M-1 for my rear tyre. front just change to Diablo. really need some feedback before i make a decision...

my 208GP-A will last me for another 200kms, later today i will go n finish it all n park the bike in garage liau...

Just change to the new super corsa PRO if you want good corner and you must be very rich. Cos it dame expensive about 500 for front and rear.

But dont even try to open throttle when the road is wet. It will spin.

haha.

i been stickin to DC since i got my blade...... so far i am very happy abt the performance...... i been to track n touring wif this DC..... its been a very good tyre..... i feel tat the grip is very good when i am doin corners.... as for the straight its still ok..... i haf onli try using mich pilot race.... but some how i still prefer DC..... btw DC 180 rear n DC 190 rear gives different type of feedback.....

if u ask me..... i will still stick to DC......
