my should be consider free. i visit a monk/temple in hatyai (maybe bkk. too long already, cannot remember). the monk gave me a ambulet (which is this one on my bike) for good luck. then i told him i wish to invite another ambulet becos my work life is not going smooth. i hope to be bless or etc. then he show me a box of ambulet, then pass me one. pray and bless for me. becos it is gold plated, he told me the offering is xxx (i forgot. maybe $50-70). i give the offer in a red package. well, that's it. in my name has only 3 ambulet now. when ever i do visit the monk, i will ask him to pray and bless the ambulet and me again. usually i put in the red packet 200baht only when i visit him. becos there is no rule how much u need to put in the offering.

just my point of view only. most temple in thailand do have ambulet for sales. some will have rite like pray and bless. since we are just sincere believer seeking good luck, we should just visit a temple and get one or 2 of these ambulet. don't u think so. anyway, this is just my point of view only.

which amulet wear liao will have feeling one? the best is for protection.not really into fighting.i hope to wear a amulet that will have feeling one,lik i hear people say that those fighting one wear liao will feel hot.something like this,haha.

yea. . agree. . although factory made. but they had been prayed by monks.

but it's just tat they are not so powerfull than those hand made. the old monk prays while they make it and pray dunno how many days and nite before it's on to a person's hand.

there are monks tat SELL them in thailand.

u give them money they make 1 for u.

those u follow the old master for a few days or even weeks before he give it to u de is the best. . cus it's really from the heart. i have quite a number which my dad gott from thailand from his's master.

i got some to let go as i really have too many till i dunno where to put.

cus i not nice to put in room as THINGS go on in the room u know. LOL

and my prayin table almost full le. most of them are old amulets.

if u guys wan i can let it go below market price.

still got 2 amulet i dun really know how to see 1 is tarkut (tak-gar) dun know how to see it's type of protection.

 

2 is aluman. which is the tamil sunwukong, which people says it really gos into u and fight. this it the question mark i really can't solve. LOL.

dun sell la. bro keep it for urself.. i always believ this kind of things cnanot sell one..maybe u all dun feel it that way.. keep it with ur self help u protect u.. my house 4 faced for alreadi more then 20 years liao.. see mi from baby until now.. my house olso all amulet and statue is from thai temple.. becos my mum is thai i olso wont ever buy from shops i still prefer getting from temple becos the chant it and really i can feel the diff if i wear a amulet..

i would reccomand lp pae amulets. affordable and good.

 

As for jtk i nvr wear b4 but heard many of my friends wear liao no bad. some still tio 4d but small small .

Hi bro adr77,

 

Do not get mixed up with taoism and buddhism practises. All thai bucha (statue) should be consecrated from the wat (temple) before being distributed or let chow (rent) to devotees so there is no requirement to "open light". As for installation in your new hse, choose a comfortable date preferably before noontime to invite it in.

 

As for offerings try to keep it simple i.e flowers, incense, lights/candles, water, fruits should suffice. As for your choice of bucha - Phra Nak (naga) Prok (to cover), it signifies the Buddha in meditation, sheltered by the great naga (serpent). This bucha is also ideal for those born on a saturday.
