Aprilia RS4 125 Top Speed Stock Exhaust.jpg

here's my top speed stock exhaust at 11krpm...can go slightly higher when reaching 11.5krpm to 135kmh, pending for my new Gianelli....I'm expecting additional boost to 140kmh.

Rolling start from gear 4 onwards, if standing start possibly to get 140 with stock exhaust. haven't got the chance try yet tho.

I got my RS4 on Friday last week, on sunday i found the gear is bent, on wednesday the bike died by itself and i had to pay to get ut towed to mah. Till today no news from

Them about my bike. Disappointing.

I thought im the only unlucky one. Since the day i bought from mah, my bike needed to send for repair on my 2nd day with my rs4 because of my clutch(causing metal screeching sound and noises). Afew days later a problem arises again also because of my clutch this time is hard to shift up/down gear and my rs4 acceleration is heavy, pickup is slow and the engine sound stress and vibrating a little when rpm is at 7000. This is my first 1sthand bike and i thought firsthand bike is smooth and problem-free unlike secondhand bikes. Guess im wrong. I wonder how u guys rs4 without problem would be like :(

Hi, this is coz RS4 125 rev point is 7k and above you will feel smooth as its an oversquare engine type. The low end torque will suffer and its happy only on higher rpm. Btw whats your mileage? Still using mineral oil? Try rev it at high rpm and the feels good factor comes in. But if you're still running in...i suggest you bear with it at low rpm. Hehe

As for the clutch and gear, try adjust the cable. That should solve it.

Btw new engine usually arent smooth as theres still many parts in the gear and clutch that needs a bit of grinding till its smooth. Once you get the mineral oil out, try use motul 300v or vrooam. Our engine require 1.2L of EO. You will feel the engine much smoother after that. I chNge my EO every 1.5 to 2k

Lolx, once you're done running in. I reco u to all the parts available for this model.

1st thing is Change oil and air filter to K&N, engine oil to vrooam 10w-50. If u got spare change u can change the sprockets and chain too. Should add additional 10-15km/h in top speed.

  • 4 weeks later...

highly recommended. gives u a big bike feel while still being user friendly. been riding big small cc bikes for some time. from an rs125, daelim roadwin to now a rs4 125 in a span of 5 years. really stable on the roads and just the right amount of power for singapore roads. always riding at 120kph on the expways and the bike handles the stress and speed really well. only problem is the powercut at 11rpm. heard a big bore kit might be available soon so that might help release more power.

the rs4 125 was released to be a beginner bike, but that doesnt mean it cant do more. with the right mods, im sure it can fly.

racing in traffic...

RS125 OEM ohlins cannot be used on RS4. the leg is different and it had to be pre-order and custom made.
