i stopped to help out at 2 different accidents

one was the bike crashed into the back of a car, the rider was lying there in a pool, trying to get up. had to calm him down together with another off duty paramedic biker. after getting him up the ambulance, i exchanged number with the driver to update me on the rider should he get any news. i got a call the next day..... the rider didnt make it :( he was 23

the other time was a hit and run accident near my place. the rider and pillion on a jackpot KR was side swiped and got flunged onto the grassy patch on the divider. female driver ran away. help the rider to call his family, ambulance and tow truck. only left the scene after both of them left on the ambulance. got a sms from the rider a week later to tell me he just got out of hospital cos he had internal bleeding and had to stay for observation. the driver is still at large

u need to be young and reckless to become old and wise..... if u survive

Till this day, I still think I may have been the indirect cause of an 8 car pile up on Lane 1 and 3 of the CTE behind Orchard.

Kudos for helping the lady rider.

Orbi for the kaypo drivers.

the driver is still at large

I hope karma will get back to the driver. Hate those hit and run mofos.

I wouldn't say it's your fault. We all know how drivers love tailgating each other and slowing down to take pictures or videos of the accident. So, the cars piling up teaches them a lesson.

Oh, that was some serious sh1t pile up. The CTE has three lanes coming out of the tunnel at the Orchard/Cavenagh entrance. Traffic went to hell immediately.

Drivers who passed by prob thought it was a multi bike accident, because they slowed down to rubberneck. Too bad the other cars coming out of the CTE tunnel behind didn't slow down. lulz.

End up, t'was a multi car pile up right in front of my eyes

Drivers are just TOO KAYPO... everything also want to slow down and look. Don't help nvm, still kaypo. DESERVED it that they end up in a pile up.

Then while eating a BAS***D called... Never even asked about my condition...

Just told me not to report Police or insurance...

Told him... It's been hours and I've done all necessary and no need to report Police. Advised him to do the same.

BAS***D hanged up the call w/o any concern for me at all...

(not nice to call anyone bast**d regardless)

Since he played nasty, nothing to talk about! I don't think there is a need to be nice to jackass. Deal them what they deserve, to teach them what they failed to learn, right attitide.

First accident, people looked on, 2 bikers on a well maintained RXK helped me, gave me a ciggie and went off. Second accident, nobody helped but taxi was kind enough to stop on highway. In both cases got banglas on the scene but they just stared. Moral of the story, banglas are like tools, useless if its outside their purpose.

Totally disagree...

I remembered that there was once I fell and my bike had my leg pinned under which I had no strenth to get my bike up. Cars behind just signaled and then change lane to avoid hitting me (I was at a slip road so the speed is slow). Up to 4 or 5 cars simply just went pass me. At that moment of time, there were those banglas (group of them) cuttiing the grass with their machines. 2 of them ran over and helped me lift up my bike, freeing me. Help me push my bike to the side and offered me some drinks.

U can be educated and driving some luxury car, but if you don't have a heart, u are worse off than anyone else.

The only way to find love isn't finding the perfect person, but by loving the imperfect person perfectly. True love doesn't have a good ending. It simply doesn't end.

I agreed! Drivers darn KPO! Everyone just slowed down and watch show. Best of all is the jam is on the other side of traffic! WTH! Served them right if they are involved in the accident too!

Er...if the driver banged into you. Caused bad injuries to both you and your pillion. Then he still say you are at fault. Why never ride properly? Why are you into his blind spot? etc etc. He/She said this ehile you and your pillion is lying on the floor in pain. Do you think you can be a nice person?

People is sharing experience, i dont think you should judge on the figure of speech used. Everyone can talk king until thing happened to them.

I doubt you can stick to 'teaching' them when your life was on the line, your pillion is battered and bruised or in a pool and the first thing the driver uttered is "why you never ride properly?"..at that point, either you'd kill him or make sure he wish he has never been born.

I had a similar experience. Was a 2 lane road, car on left lane I on right lane. Car on left lane suddenly made a right turn. I was about 1/2 car length away and unable to avoid as he made a right turn on a LEFT lane. Hit me and I flew 2 lanes across the road onto the pavement. Dislocated my shoulders and tore the tendons on my toes, sprained my wrist, neck and had a lot of abrasions on my back. Thank god I was wearing full face as I landed head first.

When driver came out of car, first thing he went.... aiyooooo my car!!!! How like that!!!! Didn't even give a **** about me. I couldn't even get up due to the torn tendons on my feet. After a while whinning about how damaged his car was, then he started yelling at me saying I never ride properly. I was in a lot of pain and still in shock, thus unable to argue. Just diam diam sit there wait for ambulance. Ambulance also passer by call one.

Fast foward 2 years later.. claimed 20k from the mofo.. and he didn't get a single cent from me.. so much for my fault.... yeah.......

With ur amount of injuries... Ur lawyer should have claimed even more than 20k considering future liabilities. LOL...

Full claim was 40k. But the mofo twist and turn the story. End up claim 50% only. Only witness was his own employee, his security guard.. since the accident was just outside his company.

I'm glad you're ok, i wish u did get full compensation and i know how u feel as i helped a guy once in an accident and all the driver could say was "its your fault, you were too fast" even when the odds are against the driver..

i think new lessons should be implemented in driving schools..

No use bro. The drivers in singapore regardless of race n nationally have selfish mentality n behaviourial issue. Because they paid so much for a car. To them, they own every inches of the road. Any bikers that invaded their comfort zone is considered insult n act of challenge. Did they ever realise that no bikers in this world will not split lane when the traffic get slow.

Many of the local motorists started off their public road experience with car not bike. Unlike indonesia, malaysia, thailand, vietnam etc where almost the entire families ride n to own a car is just for transporting families members between towns or for business. Local drivers who doesnt even have bike license will never understand bikers survival instinct. They think their cars are bigger than bikes. bikes must look for the cars. Cars no need to look out for the bike??s.So naturally whatever stunts they pulled, bikers should give way to them since bikes own smaller portion of the roads.

This car vs bike battle will never improved. We have changed ourselves to ensure our survival on the roads. impossible to change them. The situation has gotten worse too. Nowadays the van, lorries n pickup are already joining the battles. I noticed they are speeding on lane 1 too. They dont care at all. They even tailgat smaller cc bikes to frighten them off so that they can drive undisturbed.

Not all motorists like that lah...

I have experience with 2B, 3 and 4 and I understand the importance of graciousness on the road.
