If it's MS Office, you have to run the Microsoft Office Installer, and it's this (i think it's called) "Change Installed Features" screen that you can "X" out the entry called Outlook:

To launch the Microsoft Office Installer, either:

1. Open Control Panel >> Add/Remove Programs (Windows XP) >> MS Office 20xx

2. Open Control Panel >> Programs and Features (Windows Vista, Windows 7) >> MS Office 20xx

3. Pop in the Microsoft Office CD and wait for the installer to pop out on the screen.

Why do you really want to uninstall outlook? Can't you just, leave it there and never touch it the rest of your life? :p

I never use it, but i never uninstall it either. I don't know how to use outlook, but in my NS times, i used Lotus Notes which i really liked. Then now, i use thunderbird, but its kinda weird.

Basically, i want an email manager program which whatever i do in the email manager program, it mirrors or does exactly what i want to my REAL email account. For example, when i delete a file in Thunderbird for my Hotmail account, the email is gone in my manager, but it still remains in my REAL hotmail account. Also, i dont want to 'download' my email in the Thunderbird account. Basically, like i said above, whatever i do, it just mirrors. In other words, use my Thunderbird like a 'manager'.

Possible?

If you go Add/Remove programs do you see an entry called "Microsoft Office 20xx"? Click "Uninstall" and you will see the abovementioned picture that I've attached earlier in my posts.

Because if it's not, time to bug your laptop manufacturer because they are the ones that preloaded it, and even making it hard to uninstall in the process.

It happens most of the time where I work...laptop manufacturers like to OEM everything and assume the laptop users will live with it.
