Happy touring with the jacket!

Btw, do u have problems with the loose armour?

My shoulder one slips around too much, makes me fed up.

Worst is I bought the RC back protector off the net, turns out its too small, dunno what to do with it.

This Astar jacket armour is too much work.

Hi All,

I got myself the same jacket from regina couple of months back for $240, in size L. My observations after regular use are as below;

1. The material, construction and the fit are excellent and fits me well. Worth the money and do look promisable to last for long.

2. Gentle handwash after removal of the foam armours keeps it clean.

3. The shoulder armour pads sit fine but my elbow pads seem little off (cover my forearm and the lower elbow area).

4. Its not a summer jacket: with all that mesh and air inlets, I still sweat inside when used on normal days.

I share the same sentiments on the elbow pads. Wonder if it's becos Ang Mo have long arms and same torso length as Asians? That makes them more ape isn't it? No wonder they are called Ang Mo Gao. Hahaha. J/K. :p

I'll never use this jacket on a hot afternoon. Even on some mornings after awhile in traffic, I'll perspire as though in a sauna. Now I usually use my Komine which doesn't have chest pads. But I'll definitely use during touring as most of the time I'll be on the move and the airflow is decent enough to keep me cool.

Verdict to me is that comparing to my Komine, the TRC-1 gives me more sense of security and comfort.

Hi there,

I just picked up my T-GP-R Air jacket last week and have the same issues, shoulder sit fine but elbow are a bit to low, I got a XL I'm 6'4" and Ang Mo so by all accounts they should fit me. I do find if you learn forward the move a bit but I don't' ride crunched over :s
