Just saw a guy in civi on TP bike. i wonder if they can fine us?

I think he should be fined for riding TP bikes without uniform.

there are procedures to follow when clocking speed for speeding cases .. i'm not too sure of the current 'speed-clocking devices' that are in use now but the previous ones that I used are to clock the current speed that the TP bike is riding at. But even so, they have procedures to follow before clocking the speed of a speeding vehicle.

in ur scenario that is given ... the speed that is being clocked will be the ones that the TP bike is tailing the speeding vehicle and not during 'catch-up' phase ..

hope it helps ..

wad procedures are in place ?

follow for 400m ? lets say b4 u can follow for 400m, the fella slowed down, seemingly notice that hes been follow

wad will happen then in this kind of scenario ?

well .. it's up to the individual officer on how he apply those procedures and whether he has grounds to issue a summons for speeding.

I personally think you are asking a very silly question.

Every rider or driver can make a report on anyone on the roads for any traffic offence being committed even without any actual accident/damage involved.

Depending on the strength of your report and the circumstances of the case, the TP might or might not take up the case against that particular driver or rider.

The only other thing is that you must be prepared to stand as a witness in court and tell the truth, which in most instances is unnecessary since the one being reported on admits his/her guilt.

The reason is simple, if the one being charged wants to fight the case, he will likely lose and the fine/punishment will be heavier.

I should know, as I have got quite a few of such 'a******' on the roads myself! :D

is it true tat the speed clocking device on tp bikes are actually clocking their own speed ?

lets say, the subject is travelling at 100kmh, but the tp use 140kmh to catchup, in the midst of catching the speed will be clocked at 140kmh correct?

now is not. there is a seperate sensor on the bike front and back. the white colour round thing. it will show on the meter and be lock as the speed which u are travelling.
