What is your helmet inside made out of ?

Hi Everyone, this might sound silly. I just want to ask what is the inside of your helmet material made out of?

 

I am not referring to the padding but what is in between the plastic and the padding?

 

I own a Caberg Konda flipup and this is the first time I am washing the padding. Really stinks ahahaha.

 

I see that its made out of Styrofoam, and I am not sure if its the same as others ???

 

I am sure Arai helmets are different and stuff due to the soild feel of it. Any idea if those using AGV, Nolan or Caberg helmets are made out of the same material ??

 

If its really so, than the money I spent on my helmet is more for the design than the protection, and its certainly won't protect my head.

 

On the other hand if its suppose to be some other material, please let me know.

Oh thanks for the replies, so it means bicycle helmets is the same material as motorbike helmets?
