if u dun go track or not planning to.. better to get a fazer or touring bike for use in singapore.. class 2 sportsbikes are practically underutilised in singapore..

CBR600F4I SPORT --- JAN 2005 - JUNE 2006

YZF R6 '06 --- JULY 2006 - AUGUST 2006 (STOLEN)

GSXR 1000 K6 --- DECEMBER 2006 - ???

Yup.. I totally agree... Both of these bikes are great for track and it won't show its full potential on normal roads in SG. But ultimately it all sums down to what you really like and want and wish to get...

got countless comparisons avail 4u 2read online, here in this forum or internet.

do a search for it!

neway, a quick highlight.

i downgrade from 1litre bike to 600cc

altho both are sports bikes. the later needs to be high rev. not so suited for start-go traffic in singapore.

the former got good power on hands.. but pls be careful how u turn u right wrist.

750cc they say gives u the best of both worlds. handling of 600cc but with a Litre bike power.

If you compare the power/torque curves of the two bikes, and since you won't be tracking it, i'd say the GSX-R is more suitable for you.

For street, I'd recommend street riding bikes like Fazer (especially the 1000), CB1300, Diversion and etc. These bikes have good low to mid range torque/power, so you do not have to rev as high or change as much gear just to get into the right power zone to throttle out of panic situations.

They have good maneouverability also, suspension is plush and have enough stroke to handle the road unevenness. Riding posture is also more ergonomical. Definitely capable of taking out most sport cars from launch to 200km/h range. Getting a sportsbike would mean that you have to endure the extreme heat generated by the engine and enduring proning-down positions depending on the distance of your ride, sweat like hell.

Not forgetting tourers look great with boxes too to put raincoats and other misc stuffs.

Sportbikes no boxes, cannot put raincoat etc...

Rain jialat.

Don't let a moments' gianness make u make a wrong choice.

Get a tourer! :thumb:

or just get a zx14 or a hayabusa..

haha jus joking..since u dont go track then fazer would be a good choice..be it the 600 or the 1000..the riding posture also not pain in the back..good for trips up north..

rien d'autre que le max.
