Take note that from Apple Asia Pacific from this day onwards has disallowed shops to sell Apple laptops and iPhones/iPad/iPod and other Apple branded stuff in computer exhibitions like these.

However, you can still find the 3 telcos there to buy iPhones, but with a line contract.

Did they provide a reason for this?

I hear one of the reasons was that they did not want to tarnish the brand image of Apple by having their products sold at a mass computer event, instead of Apple authorized retail stores.

Hard disk is still expensive. The cheapest I found is WD ext 500gb @ 89

Bear in mind there are still market and environmental factors, one of which is the aftermath of the Thai flooding - it completely shut down many hard drive factories there.

S$89 looks cheap. I'm not too sure about you guys here but last time I saw, lowest was $99...kinda like touching the $100 mark.

  • 1 month later...

But late Dec'11 to Jan'12, Thai was hit with bad flood and a lot of HDD factory were impacted and the last IT show, i think in Mar'12, HDD isn't as cheap. By the upcoming PC Show 2012 from June 8 - 11 (I think), hopefully price will reduce back to normal :x

wow, harddisc price has really dropped a lot, I bought a 500gb WD at abt 149 last year

I heard from my friend who went today said

The worst fair. Ever.

80% occupancy

15% credit card companies, refridgerator, books, bags

50% repeated booths all selling the same products

China tablets, ipcamera, almost no DIY stuff

Prices worst than Sim lim

Just sharing.

Nevertheless I will still go on sunday :/
