All bros and sis who frequent MBS please note that they WILL NOT HESITATE to tow away motorcycles which have been parked on their properties and curbs around their properties. Either park at bayfront wilson parking (but expensive$$) or park in town and bounce in train over to MBS. Many occasions I have seen bikes being towed onto tow-lorry by crane. I patronise MBS frequently, and they have kept in touch with me regarding this no-bike bullshit policy. Apparently the no-biking rule is from the government and not MBS' decision. They are intouch with the government agencies and hopefully in the near future there will be good news to us bikers. Just sharing my 2cents worth!!

The last time I went there, I saw a lot of bikes parked at one end of MBS, something like under a bridge next to a river. You need to go pass the taxi stand and ride about another 30m to get there. I parked there too. There were plenty of bikes there -- too many to clamp, lah. Safety in numbers?

Just wondering if there is a definite guideline to the fees imposed for unclamping. Does it mean we have to pay any amount they ask? Do they actually have the legal right to impose such fees?

Yup, fully agreed...

But working here is different story, you need to battle with all the kups to get a slot... Now monster is cover with lots of scarring, but lucky on the side box only...

I doubt they have an guideline, some places charge $50, another $70, while some others charges $100...

Maybe depend on area... Just like we buy food from hawker centre, food court or tourist place like sentosa...

If you want to attempt "ILLEGAL" parking, please do so on the pavement...

Its cheaper only $70 (summon by Cisco) compare to being wheel clamped by Wilson Parking $107 (7% GST inclusive)

More troublesome some more... Must look for the Wilson Parking Warden, pay in cash then walk back to your bike to get it un-clamp.

Cisco summon can pay at any SAM or DBS machine...

Work out your math before you park...

Woah. Is this at SGH? Didn't realise so on the ball one. Went there a few times and yeah, the bike parking really limited. Any suggestions where else to park? I'd hate to visit someone and get clamped. Heart pain from sick relative or friend, then heart pain from bloody clamping uncle.

Tabulate for all bikers ! The available bike parking area in SGH...

1. Wilson Parking, Multi-storey carpark (Plenty of parking lots, built not long ago. Walking distance (8min) from main building), Free feeder-bus to Block 4.

2. Wilson Parking, Opposite Blk 1,2,3 / A&E (Most clamping taking place). If want to park "Illegally" do it on the pavement, cheaper (summon $70) compare to wheel clamp of $107.

3. Public Carpark (limited slots)

4. Public Carpark (limited slots)

5. SGH Musem Carpark (Loading bay area, do not park anyway outside the designated parking zone or else clamp will be on the way...)

6. Health Promotion Board Basement ERP parking, plenty of slots as most people don't know...

If i get clamped, I will go hardware shop buy a saw and saw it out. I will also help to saw other people's clamp. Best is call tow truck together. tupang all the bikes who get clamped. All share the tow. Go bikeshop and use angle grinder. We keep doing this, they wont want to clamp le.

CCB they all same like gov. $ suckers. Instead of constructing more facilities to solve the space issue. They fine you when u are already at an inconvenience.

If you don't wanna damage the clamps right? You make them saw it for u. Squeeze super glue into the keyhole. Into all the other clamps u see also. When they all pay money to get it un-clamped, they be in for a surprise. They have to damage their clamps what.... to set them free, or else how to face all the angry motorist who paid. :)

Can you imagine u are there to see doctor or send ur sick loved ones for consultation. Then no space to park, all malaysian kup. Security tells you to park other ****ing far place when u are already going to be late for appointment. I dont encourage ppl to play punk and purposely challenge the authorities, but they are sometimes tooo lacking of compassion and understanding. So what can we do to avoid getting ur hard earned money ripped out of u. How many hours u have to work to earn that amount and they just have to put a clamp ?

Last time when clamping was introduced in france, the citizens all armed themselves with superglue and squirted it into every clamp they saw. In just weeks the clamping was eliminated due to the cost of replacing the clamps.

We have alot to learn from the french. Singaporeans just don't have the courage and fire in them to stand up against tyranny for fear of getting into trouble. Sometimes you just have to show some resistance or else the authorities are going to exploit every inch and penny. Clamping the vehicle is the stupidest prevention against illegal parking as the vehicle will REMAIN an obstruction. Just issue a fine and its going to be fair. $100++ for removal of clamp is just pure extortion.

Ya we should do something about it. Wheel clamp is totally nonsense. They could hav just issue summon or warning which to me is sufficient enough.
