oh ya....anyone know where i can find clear signal light lens covers that fits, dragstar classic, virago etc...... i was quoted $12 for one piece of len......

Used to saw it at Cool Custom but since they are no longer in business, you may want to try your luck thru ebay or any other online websites but, price range should fall around S$12 too plus the delivery time... I think you are better off getting it from Hong Leong. :)

"Biggest repair"? Could it be the shaft itself? Someone did mentioned before in this forum that it cost $300 to replace the shaft alone, possible the "biggest repair"? Anyway, majority of the Dragstar on the road is not ten years old. Where ever you get that information from? The price to repair the shaft and engine piston varies thru the different workshops and if you are looking for a recommended workshop, who else but Yamaha Hong Leong knows better?

I see. Yamaha Hong Leong has stop importing the custom many years back, perhaps due it being a less popular design. Just my personal opinion, I always thought that Honda Shadow Slasher looked much appealing than the Yamaha Dragstar Custom. :)

Hi all,

me & my ever faithful '97 Dragstar custom. Besides those nitty-gritty worn out parts, it doesn't give much probs. As for the shaft drive, still in good cond. after all these 10yrs we're together. A former colleague of mine ever repaired his Classic shaft b4 & it cost him abt $200+ total.

Hmmm... wen I pass CL2, will it be the end of our relationship? (me & my bike lah) The saga will continue as long as those wheels keep on turning........ :lovestruck: yee-haw!

Basically I really fallen in love head over heels wif the Yamaha Starmotorcycles range. From the Vstars to the Roadstars, Warriors & Stratoliners. Not forgetting Royalstar (he he I still remember ur bike Adriel)

Second will be the fore-fathers of cruisers Harleys lah.

Unlike those old metric cruisers of yesteryears where it was design by Japs, nowadays especially StarMotorcycles are design by Americanos. They are the one who started this type of bike cults mainly Harleys. That means they know what they're looking for thes type of bike design.

Check this link of StarMotorcycles webbie - see if u r impress by it......

Now u can even view ur Yamaha cruiser Parts cATALOGUE n owners manual from the website from models back from 1998 till present -> click "Parts&Services" (tell me which brand of motorcycles allow their bike owners to view these from their website?):thumb:

Oh ya, dun forget to watch their DVD intro at the top righthand of the website. Enjoyz :clapping:

"sigh" if only the local dealer is not too fickle-minded we wud have seen more Starmotorcycles here

Forefather of cruiser? That would be Indian, not Harley Davidson. As for customized chopper, that would be from James "Wild Child" Greene.

Not sure about others but, Kawasaki website certainly do from as far back as 1996 although the only missing entity would be viewing of owner manual online but I don't see why anyone would need it when this manual of little importance information should comes along with the bike rather than getting a service manual which is much more beneficial in comparison.

Just my two cents worth.
