hello men

I got a problem with my bike since yesterday evening.

I was riding and suddelny the acceleration was gone. Very slow riding now only.

I can only go till around 5000 rpm and than it gets jerky. (normally can go up to 9500)

I'm riding a Yamaha TZM 150.

Any advice for me ?! Serious problem or uncle can fix fast one ?!

Thx in advance !!

can be a new reasons I think.

Got check your 2T level? And does your bike has the YPVS? If so, maybe the valve is not opening.

Biting on the fray of my hair, I muse upon the way to find the oasis of evermore beyond the vertical horizon, I shall join the windupdeads in owl city, neither my safetysuit nor my red jumpsuit apparatus can save me, cuz I mistook a death cab for cutie in plain white T's...

hmm.. im not riding a TZM but my cuz does.. so wat i noe.. i just try to share with u lah..

YPVS.. yamaha power valve system..at a certain rpm this valve will open and allow more exhaust gas to go out from the combustion chamber.. thus more power..

my sp also has this valve...

usually when ur rpm reaches around 5 - 6k rpm the valve will open..

if its like jerky.. den means ur valve got some dirt or wat lah.. if u open throttle even more like above 6k rpm.. then the jerkiness will b gone..

btw.. for tzm if u wanna check if ur valve is okay.. when u turn ur ignition to on.. there will be 2 "squeaking" sounds..

Dirt? Ahaha..Think your valve jam already la..Thought the valve got some kinda cover to prevent dirt or whatever to go in? Also some people name the YPVS as Yamaha Problematic Valve System..Ahaha..

Think better go bike shop before it gets any worst..

The "squeakin" sound is actually the sound from the mechanism..And its a cool sound IMO..:cheeky:

09/07/2009 - Passed 2B TP (10th attempt)

I have tried to see things from your point of view..But no matter how hard I try..Or what I do..I just can't get my head that far up my butt..

 thx dudes.

appreciate ur help !

When reflecting over the last week, I now think, that the problem is this YPVS !!

A week ago the bike started jerking at 6000 rpm. I thought it was the ESSO oil I bought.

But as you said, probably the valve had some dirt inside.

After a week now, the valve is probably jammed with dirt, thus the pick-up of the bike is gone.

I will go to the shop tomorrow !!

Any suggestions about which shop to go to !?

Thx, Jan :thumb:
