Hi Guys,

Hello to you all, I am going to shift to Singapore in 5th of next month, and I want to buy a bike there for sure....

I have some questions could you please help me with the same.

I am riding in India for almost 4 years now and own a 225cc Karizma bike here...

And once I shift to Singapore I am planning to buy a Kawa Ninja 250r.....

Now I have a license renewed here on Aug of 2010 which is to ride any geared vehicle in India.

I have seen many forum and different questionnaire which says you can convert your bike license to class 2B or 2 subject to you show a ownership of vehicle of more than 600 CC in you home country in terms of registration or insurance paper.

The question which I have are ?

Is there any way to convert my license to 2A directly by showing them ownership of my bike which more than 200cc and my foreign license ??

Or Can I buy a kawa 250r use it for 10 months(As I think I can drive up to 12 months on my foreign license) and then apply for conversion and show the the ownership of old bike in India and kawa for 10 months, and get the 2A license.???

Please guy give in some inputs as I am trying to buy a kawa from last 2 years and finally got and opportunity to do so ??

I don't again want to buy a bike below 200 cc and opt for 2b....

Please guide me for the same...

Awaiting your reply..:)

Many Thanks,

Im sure there will be others to help out

But from my little knowleage

Conversion of licence is to class 2b only. U will only have to sit for the theory exam. After which u have to take practical and theory exam like everyone else to obtain the class 2a or 2 licence.

it is possible to convert directly to 2A or 2, at the discretion of the TP office.

so long you are able to proof ownership of a big cc motorbike, chances are pretty high to convert to 2A or 2.

that being said, chances are pretty high doesn't mean 100%.

Cheers! :)

Stock is good...Choose your weapon wisely and enjoy it...you can have all the $$$$ to mod and in the end you can't make full use of it....

sorry bro..same boat as urs when i came here..if u r indian, class 2b. period! and also make sure u can convert ur licence to a class 2b one..i.e it must be in card form, it should be old enough (atleast 6 months prior) and also make sure that the state from where it's issued has not changed the licence format. for eg: if teh state has gone to smart card licence, then make sure ur licence is updated like wise. hope this helps.
