Hi my fuel gauge, first bar drop at around 104km is it normal ? Still (running in) .

Wow! So good until abnormal:D Further more it's still running in. Sure get better later.

I'm getting first bar drop at 70km(24km/L(normal city riding) worst 21km/L(>130km/) in the beginning until 1500km later then it start to get satisfactory.

Concurred with kmjoe. If you are looking for NC700X, other shops would probably work out better.

I bought my DCT version from Boon Siew.

The sales experience was lack lustre.

The salesman kept confusing me with another customer and promptly disappeared from the company after completing my bike sale. Heard he got sacked after failing to return to work when he finished his ICT.

Just about the only good thing I got from the deal is a bike loan that doesn't impose an early settlement fee. LOL.

It's normal.. The bike got no power.

Nonsense. You just have to learn to use its torque.

But then again, I'm riding the DCT version. With its smaller sprocket, the engine may feel more torquey to me. 6th gear at 65kmh seems just fine to me.

Been using "D" mode all these time, never felt the need to use the "S" mode at all.

Then again, I'm not one of those Rossi-wannabes too.

Kinda envy you guys. My typical commute always see me stuck behind a Vios or Nissan Sunny prodding at 89.99kmh on the extreme right lane on the expressways. Does wonders for your FC this.

I wonder whether he got his commission; if so, it will be quite unjust.

Apparently, he is the one causing much delays and hopefully things can be back to normal now. The other good thing is price is same even if you full settle w/o loan or with credit card, whereas many dealers will impose surcharges. But they don't do trade-ins, so you'll need to time your purchase and sale.

Same here, torque is good enough for me. Technically, if DCT can do 65km/h at 6th gear vs 100km/h at 6th gear for manual, fc for DCT should be better for congested roads.

and the fact that you dont have to half clutch or bother about gears in the congestion is the beauty of the DCT which i envy. but if u use the same rpm the dct uses to chg gear on a manual NC, a better fc can be achieved if i have not mistaken, but will experience alot of vibs haha

I am riding a dct too.. Perhaps it just my bike which is no power.. I'm having difficulties over taking cars in Malaysia. There is a lag before the power kick in.. Never had such problem with my tmax. Just came back from a ride to deserau, the pull of a silver wing is better then my nc700x. I need to put into s mode and full throttle the bike.

On small road, there is a lack of confidence to overtake cars as you will need to be riding against the traffic to overtake hence the quick power is necessary.

However that is my view point of my nc700xd. Other dct or rider might feel different.

By the way, I thought a bigger spocket should feel more torque rather than a smaller sprocket?

In short, you need to wait for the power to kick in. Which I personally feel it's slow but again for a bike that can go 28km per litre, what more can I ask.

Ahhh small world eh, nice lunch.

Yes, I felt the same on the manual clutch too. Having ridden only scooters, my impression of bikes with manual gear is it will zoom off immediately when the throttle is twisted. That's how it felt with CB600F in driving school. Especially the low gears, use gear 1-3 only actually.

Once I was squeezing in slow traffic say about 70km/h in 5th(can't remember just example). Saw an opening and full throttle to go in. Engine no response for a while and then spool up slowly for a while and accelerate quickly later. I was like huh? Wah lau! never experience this on my 300cc scooter leh. My 300cc scooter twist only will spool up quickly and power linearly towards my intended objective.

I can't be in the wrong gear cause if wrong gear it will vibrate/struggle or have no power.

Anyway, i am also very please with the fuel consumption.

Some will say, "ride until so kang kaw just to save some fuel". Ha ha, true true but i bought the bike to be fuel frugal, low maintenance, 2 up, low heat, low running rpm, storage, Honda reliability, resale and last but not least ride longer(as in speeding kills).
