Another worry is that the calsci screen uses the existing screw and not like the honda screen which has an additional support

structure...i will probably diy and add another few inches using acylic sheet. appreciate any recommendation and advice on this part?

most screen does not have the additional support except for the original touring screen.

By the way anyone got any gps to recommend? Most probably getting a car model since it is way cheaper as compared to bike gps. Looking at a budget of 200.

Oh.. That's not good news. I intent to get the touring screen. Now I have to think if I still want it.

Btw, I wear ear plugs during touring, cannot stand the wind noise.

my temp diy screen did the job in moving wind up my helmet better than stock, but from 100km onwards it gets loud and only after 120km above it sound lesser so the noise level was bad between 100 to 120km, but then I travel 140km once hit hightway and wear ear plug so not so bad.

In sing I just change back stock .... :cheeky:

Am considering the honda screen or givi, as it will be higher than my diy or maybe add on touratech wind deflector to the diy and might cure the noise.

I think that is a common complain...

Calsci looks better. but guess the price is more expensive too.

The calsci medium looks damn good, almost same level has my helmet height, feel the large is gonna be too big.

I checked out with them too, shipping would be USD45 per piece and takes around 10 days. Anyone interested?

agree, honda touring screen with the frame looks the most sturdy. if only they had larger screen.

any idea would the rider be looking through or over the screen if it was extended another 28cm in height?

Calsci offers a few options, I'm looking at either 24cm, 28cm or 32cm higher than the original screen. Dunno if the 28 or 32cm would be too large and looks funny on the bike.

Back from Thailand, traffic was terrible throughout going up north on thursday night till friday dawn.It took nearly 12 hours to reach hat yai

Fuel pump 95 all the way go n back, average $18 per stop 8 total.

Note : riding up traffic was heavy so slow around 120 - 140km/hr, some even at 80km/hr only. $15 to $16 per stop of 200km, coming back faster at 140-160km/hr per 200km(+ -)$18-$20 (some short blast distance going 170 but max out at 180km :faint: any one try better?

Over-all the bike perform as I read on-line and on papers ..... Good :thumb::thumb:

Me went on sat early morning....reached in early afternoon at thailand border. Around 10 hrs.

Dared not speed so much..but tried short blast max to ard 160...the Honda tall screen caused more wind noise ...so didn't like it....also I found handle vibration and wind noise starts to get irritating ard 125-130 onwards....

I top up 3 times only... each time around 10 litres.., distance travelled inbetween stops around 250KM...so the FC dropped to around 25km/l.

Took me a shorter time to travel back as i got used to the wind noise and vibration ba...

I either use earphones or ear plugs when I tour. Ear plugs is best, enjoy the quietness, so much so until can hear anything much. Haha.
