Due to lack of storage space on my bike, I am hunting for the thinnest rain gear around (not too expensive).

Any idea which ones are smallest when folded up?

Thanks

Else it will be Poncho like what Bro Rusty83 says. I do keep one Poncho under the seat (Not NDP one, mine thicker hahahah) but I also carry rain coat along hahahha

Ponchos are next to useless and downright dangerous when it's flapping everywhere.

If you ride a scooter with fairings that shield the lower legs and ride very slow, it's probably ok for light drizzle. Else, dont bother.

The RS Taichi series is good and lightweight, and I was tempted top buy if not for the rather steep price.

The cheapest one is going around for like $80-$120, which is equivalent to 2 or 3 sets of 'ordinary' raincoats which will probably last me the same.

If you dont mind the price, try calling Motoworld and see whether got stock, becos the common sizes tend to run out fast.

Last time I also calculated like dat. Then after 3 years, the coat still protects me and does not leak (Anyway not everyday it rains). Its breathable so never sweat when I reach my destination. Only the pants leaked on me after 3 years of usage. So Bought a Dry Master X pants only. Sometimes feeling like changing Raincoats due old design....but still good hahahha.

The price is like what Deathism says...hahah....Anyway There is a saying...You wan good, it might not be cheap...You wan cheap, it might not be good.

Anyway the Dry Master X series is top of the line and the most compact...It is the most expensive almost or touch 200 already. 2nd cheapest is Dry Master series, then finally the cheapest of RS Taichi range, the Rain Buster. Not a sales pitch hor. Juz sharing what I found from years of research hahaha.

$180 or more if I'm not mistaken. Give Hodaka Motoworld a call for better quote. Their number is listed on the advertiser's board in this forum.

The cheapest RS Taichi Dry Master is $140. Then there's another one which is Thicker. And the 3rd and most costly is the one in the pic.

I swear by the original Dry Master though. Used for 2 years still going strong. Of course, I carry it around in a bag and air it out properly after use. Never anyhow fold/crumple.

I have an orange raincoat I got as part of a mass order - cost $20 and is compact enough to fit under my seat. I believe you can get something similar at Beach Road Army market. So far, I have never had it leak on me, even in a heavy downpour. The downside is that it is not designed for riding (just a general purpose rainoat), so it can get tight if you wear an armoured jacket etc. An additional advantage is that the colour gives you added visibility in the rain - most of the big name raincoats come only in dark colours, which just seems to defy logic (to me).

Not sure if it meets your needs, but may be worth checking out. Hope this helps!

I think its used at CDC driving centre too. I'm using an OGK one from lab for about 4 years. Bought at $65

Recently bought a LAB one online for $10 as a spare for my pillion. Its really thin and portable. I think its $30

average use them for 2 years before leaking. When new, it will really keep u dry.

Things not so nice about it is that they are thicker and slightly bulkier than those cheap raincoat.
