My REVO is faulty.

Max speed 160KM.

MAX RPM 10.

FAN EASILY ACTIVATED.

FREQUENT BACKFIRE.

FEELS HEAVY. (NO PICK UP)

15 MINS JOURNEY AT 120KM AND IT LOSES POWER.

I DONT KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN.

ITS LIKE AS THO THE POWER IS GRADUALLY DETERIORATING.

AND I HAVE TO STOP BY RD SHOULDER, SWITCH OFF, 5 MINS SWITCH ON THEN ITS ABLE TO REGAIN THAT POWER BACK.

BUT...SHORT PERIOD OF TIME ONLY. THEN AFTER WHICH I WILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AGAIN. please help.

I DONT KNOW WHER THE PROBLEM IS.

Check the air filter,maybe choke and throttle body dirty...

Last time, if I experience that (on my GSXR400), it will only mean 1 thing. The CDI gonna fail anytime soon. If on the ECM, I wonder if it still the same scenario, that the ECM unit gonna go bust. Hopefully Honda Revo has a dealer mode to show what the problem is. Recommended to go to Boon Siew as I believe they have the necessary tools to check. It won't be cheap though.

can try this, when you bike feels 'heavy' or 'weak' when traveling at high speed for awhile, clutch in and see if bike dies.

 

 

when that happens, just push start your bike again. might take afew tries.

Sounds like bike is runny lean. Heat up fast no power after heat up.

 

revo is a efi bike.

 

Check of airleaks, check if sensor is working properly especially the O2 sensor. Do a system voltage check also.

 

Not that familiar with the revo. If got a OBDII conector onboard, go to shop that have the scanning pc or agent to diagnost.

When is the last time u changed ur spark plugs & servicing?

 

Might be spark plug faulty & due for change?

 

TPS problem?

 

Bring to a mech asap.

do correct me if im wrong. base on exp and knowledge from forum

 

Max speed 160KM. cos of speed limit cut til 160... going to 160 to 180 its kinda slow... i alr check wif my friend

FEELS HEAVY - time to change engine oil

1) Meaning your bike cannot go above 160km/h? Or can but from 160 to 180 its slow?

2) Yes fan easily activated, Engine ICE coolant u mean?
