don manage to find any related thread, so i create this thread to consolidate ideas and method....any mesh jacket user care to share how you wash your jacket? cos my mesh, red colour its getting dirty, its like tiny black stuff stuck in the tiny "pores"... sucking it wif normal washing powder wont remove it.. its like my back of the jacket looks sparkling new, while my front looks dull dirty red... any special chemical to use to remove the tiny black stuff?

Believe ur black stains are from tar, carbon, 2t.. U can try vanish power O2. There is one that wont bleach ur colors.

If that doesnt help then its in there for good.

Otherwise mesh wash jus like normal jacket, mild detergent soak rinse dry. Remove the salt n grime from body..

Gd luck

I do scrub my mesh jacket. Should be strong enough to be scrubbed. But mostly I just turn it inside out, zip up and dump it into the washing machine for cold wash and air dry thereafter. Mine is all black and grey though, and I'm more interested in keeping the interior clean.

How about "Muc-Off". It's used for cleaning bikes. I used it to remove fabric stains before. It remove road grime very well. Just spray on, wait a few minutes and wash it off.

Just to clarify, the outside can scub but not the inside. Magic clean is not that strong actually.

For machine wash, I adjust to the lowest speed for spin dry. It is the spin dry part that will damage clothing most of the time. If spin dry speed to high, it will stretch and damage the clothing.

I took your advice and did a trial. It works together with my top detergent for my dirty reusable polishing cloths and soak it for a few hrs. Will try it on my mesh jacket too.
