If you are going to the centre, i strongly suggest your bike to be road legal in every aspect.

Anyway, i got an aftermarket pipe with the bike i recently bought(thats approved in 05). Didnt bother with the inspection. Passed inspection.

The inspection center has a photo of your bike with the exhaust.

Mine come with the pipe. Bought from shop. Did the transfer ownership . Now left with the inspection only. . .

actually, as long as the pipe has got a cert and registered under ur vehicle, u dun have to do the pipe transfer and inspection, the pipe follows the bike not the owner..

its been so long...

Dear Mr xxxx yyyy

2nd hand Motorcycle comes Legal Aftermarket Exhaust installed

FEEDBACK NUMBER: 20120809-0304

We refer to your email dated 09 August 2012.

We would like to inform you that LTA allows the replacement of after-market vehicle parts, including exhaust system, as long as it does not adversely affect the safe operation and/or exhaust emissions characteristics of the vehicle, or compromise the safety of vehicle occupants and other road users. The after-market exhaust system should be specifically designed for that particular vehicle make and model and be installed by a qualified person in accordance with the product manufacturer's recommendation.

As you are the new owner of the motorcycle, you are not required to send your vehicle for a re-inspection of the aftermarket exhaust at the inspection centre. However, you may wish to check with the aftermarket exhaust agent or any authorised inspection centre for an assessment service to ensure that the aftermarket exhaust system was not modified / tampered. Owner of the vehicle is required to carry along the exhaust certificate at all times. This aftermarket exhaust certificate is endorsed by the inspection centre at the time of the installation of the aftermarket exhaust.

We thank you for writing in.

Yours sincerely
