getting class 2B licence is tougher now as compare to few years ago.

riding can be very stressful to mental and physical.

mental: always need to be alert and greater awareness of yr surrounding. if rain, need to ride with extra extra extra care than sunny day. insufficient of sleepness, unwell and etc.

physical: if bike too heavy or seat too high for u, can be another hazard when u cannot control the bike well.

sometimes it is difficult to advise u in words, just get a licence and then a bike and try riding it yourself. riding is a everyday experience on the road, cannot learn from school lesson or practical or listen from others, ride it yourself and meet a few near-close incident and you will learn your lesson hard from there.

LICENCES

class 2B: 07sep06 (cg125, nsr150, cbf150, x1r, ta200)

class 3: 30apr07 (Mitsubishi lancer, Nissan sunny, Toyota corolla, Volkswagen golf tsi)

class 2A: 27may08 (revo, vtec1, majesty250)

class 2: 08jun10 (fz6n, GSX-R600L4, tmax530)

The mentality u have is wrong sis. Riding carries much more risks with it than driving. First thing that u need to do is get that mentality out from your mind.

No matter how good a rider u are, you will eventually go down one day, be it big or small. It's just the name of the game. I know i have. After 8 years of non incidents. I think none of us riders dare to say for sure that we will definitely reach our destination unscathed.

But... The responsibility is on us to ride safe, be prepared for **** to happen, and take every mistake learned seriously. Some mistake in the biking world cannot afford to be repeated.

There's currently 2 versions of the 3 wheel scooters in the 2B category, Piaggio MP3 and PGO TR3. These should defray your fears of two wheelers.

But if you fear 2 wheeler capability, u r missing the point of motorcycles, watch this video and u know the epitome of 2 wheel riding.

hahaha...next time i got query, i will say i am 22 yr old sexy chick, not 41 yr old fatty, sure can get tons of help, got "gor gor", "father figure", etc.....lol you guys can take jokes right? sorry, cannot help it!:p

1) i am surprised how come no other lady riders come & give sisterly advice?

imho, i think a female perspective is more "relevant". i believe these ladies can relate better how they cope. it is pointless for us guys to say ladies better not ride, this will sound sexist. experienced lady riders can give a better advice on how ladies can ride. :)

2) imho, the more you think, the less likely you will do it. why worry so much? there are people who die or injured from driving cars, so does that mean we don't drive? actually it all depends on the individual, whether driving or riding. i am too lazy to get into the old debate about the dangers of biking, most already have the idea that it is dangerous, i am too lazy to try & change people's obstinate minds...big waste of my energy, mindsets will not change.

3) imho again, i got a very good idea for you to get rid of your fear, give me money until you cannot afford car. lose your job at 40, no choice got to be a dispatch rider to support yourself, suddenly it is not "dangerous" anymore! necessity will kill any "fears" & "worries". i see taiwanese grandmas , aunties even schoolgirls on scooters. reality always works.:p

i apologise if this post offend anybody, maybe my idea of humour can be a bit whacky, :p

We need humour from time to time. Without it we are like zombies. I welcome your whacky sense of humour but I cannot say for the rest. :cool:

I guess the concerns is more on the age then the gender... if i have a young sibling into motorcycle, i be very concerns like all brothers, parents out there...

I'm the youngest in the family and I don't think my brothers are concerned one bit. Only concern was why I was allowed to take bike license a year earlier than him. Lol. Thing is. Im riding bikes much longer than him. Now he's married with a kid and a car. No more bikes. Life do play some pranks on you doesn't it.

Just ignore those who say female should not ride because it is dangerous. Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Indonesia and many other places got millions of females riding every single day. You can't change the fact that riding is dangerous, understand the risks and accept it if you want to ride.

I find it unlady like for girls to have all that power between their legs.

Apparently some of the most powerful people in SG / the world are unable to match the power between "unlady-like" girls legs

Riding is 100% safe if NOBODY makes mistakes. Save the environment, bikes occupy less space, burns lesser fuel. No point owning a lousy asian car where you can substitute it for a high end asian bike or average western bike :) Don't bother about ferrying passengers and extra cargo, they are a hassle anyway. LOL. Alone is better, best if you ride alone....
