ehhhhhh correct... never never run too lean on 2strokes.. the harder u whack the longer lasting the engine will be as it is built for that way . if u dont whack it.. most prob u will get valve jam followed by all the problems.

want FC get a 4stroke .

SPChoo: actually i am intending to increase my FC after my attachment finish to maybe like 220 before reserve or something haha. or flykite maybe is just us we the "squeezers" who pump until the tank cannot even squeeze one more Ml of petrol before going off, maybe they pump until reach brim tot is full already then go off of coz achieve lesser FC b4 reserve coz the have lesser petrol to run in the first place?

which is why i have been trying to tell jerkybeef and some others that the figures aren't probably accurate in the first place. well i measure mine by doing from brim to dry literally, in the first place i got a spare bottle of reserve to play with after i dry out.

how do the others get their figures? how accurate can they get? i don't know.

haha the in order to do that, u must run dry first . then pump the amount of L u want . then remember the amount u pump then when dry again u take the amount travelled / petrol pump then equal = FC

but then like this also nt zhun coz ifmost of the time u on eway or most of the time on small roads the FC will be affected too.

anyway i think if ur speedo is highly inaccurate like 30-40kmph off the actual speed i think the odotrip will also be inaccurate

Good and bad is just the difference between perceptions.

do this ten to twenty times and take the average. that will be accurate.

ai ya for good FC get four stroke. but if u want power too. u hire a team of mechanics to research a 2-stroke n 4 stroke hybrid engine. maybe 0-7k RPM ur engine runs at 4stroke then when reach 7k rpm the valve opens and the engine switches to 2stroke and ur powers comes in :cheeky:

you can get the manual by clicking here. thou theres not THAT much info there.

ron95 is more than enough for a 150cc 2stroke. and just to add if you have problems with FC, as in your full tank is less than 160km before reserve, then get it tuned. most prolly its tuning. servicing also plays a part. alot of factors.

but if you want those like jonse (what, 300+?), which i suspect is running very lean, then get a wave. theres no point in running lean since 2strokers use 2t AND PETROL as lubrication. too lean = too little lubrication. oh, and that'll prolly lead to higher wear and tear and maybe a seizure or something if you run the bike at higher rpms where your powerband is.

hallo spchoo, in my most HONEST opinion, there's absolutely nothing wrong with your bike and i seriously think it is ur head that got something wrong. 210km before reserve is perfectly normal for sp. if u are doing 300km before reserve you are running too lean, or u have valve jam, or something is just wrong in your engine. $100-150 a month is normal spending on petrol for sp. if u cannot afford it, then change to a 4-stroke. 2-strokes are for the fun and the power, if u want to use it for transport, then u have to accept the high fuel consumption and maintenance, just like some other lao jiaos here still riding sp, every month also spend 200++ on petrol and they're not complaining. also, both 2stroke and 4stroke phantom has a smaller tank than sp, the 200cc 4-stroke does more because its a 4-stroke, the 150cc 2-strokes averages even less mileage in a full tank as compared to sp.

i'll make my stand clear here. I AM NOT ASKING YOU TO CHANGE TO A WAVE. i'm telling you that, riding a sp, which is a 2-stroke bike, you definitely have to contend with 200-240km per full tank before reserve in exchange for the power than a CBR150 cannot give. i don't want to see you unknowingly spoil your engine (thereby ending up spending even more) in your pursuit for better fuel consumption. i hope you don't get me wrong.

bert has already said most of wat i wanted to say. i quote him here again for your easy reference:

bert u also got 599 mah! why let his 599 pawn your 250? your 599 should eat him back! 06 vs 05!

i thnk he 598 onli leh ...

200rm a month

Posted

i travel 80km daily. so i used to pump once in SG every three days, S$17. ten times a month means S$170 until i swapped over to pumping ten times a month in JB which is about RM220 about $100.

then i decided enough is enough. now i pump in JB ten times a month, RM7 per pump, RM70 a month which is about S$30 only.
