ok guys.. i spend sometime exploring bridgestone's webby.. and found out the following..

[Compound]

•BATTLAX BT-39 compound is made to give strong dry grip. Also, Silica is added for wet performance.

[Pattern]

•The aggressive, race-image patterns leave large contact area in all lean angles for dry grip. Also, the open pattern in tread edges reduces shimmy during the sporty ride. The center grooves give stability

BT39SS made for 50cc to 125cc.

BT39SS

BT39 without SS made for 125cc to 400cc

BT39

hope all these solves the mystery on tyres..

in fact its true that tyres have front and rear kind.. as they are made differently.. following is an extract from the website which states why ..

•Front tire uses double crown radius for smooth handling and firm grip feel in corner. The rear tire is designed with single crown radius which brings linear cornering feel and grip at bank.

finally the official website shed some light on us!

so next time when purchasing tyres..check and insist on the front and rear type depending on what you are going to change. !

thanks for clearing it up. (: so if one wants to have BT-39SS for both FRONT and REAR, they'll probably be using 90/80 for front, and 100/80 for rear.

but i notice for BT39SS they do have 120/80... maybe 100/80 and 120/80
