where to install USB power port for bike?

Thinking of charging my phone inside my scooter glove compartment. Anyone know any shop who can install a

USB port for me?

Wherever you tap the power from the bike, there is no "current limiter". The device already step down the voltage from 12 to 5, and there is a fuse.

 

I don't know of any vehicle that come with such a protection in the power socket. Furthermore, all factory fitted power sockets will also be fused.

There's some forumer here selling the USB Port. I got mine at sgd20. It has fuse and my mech connected it to bike ignition, so it will only runs when I on my bike.

Not sure the price for the USB charger cos I am not the seller.

 

Previously I bought a ciggie socket handlebar mount from Joo Khai at around $25. And he does all the installation including all necessary wirings. And he doesnt cut the existing wires and instead uses the proper adaptors and tap the existing wires. He also use heat wrap on the wirings to avoid overheating damage. Now... tell me this is not worth it for $25. Other sellers sells the items for $20 or less, but doesnt do installation. Shops do installation may charge you $10 at they usually just tap direct without adaptors.
