Need help on insurance claim

Last thursday, i parked my bike at jurong east and my bike got hit by a lorry, i suspect the driver never pull handbrake and his lorry move forward and crash on my bike. i took a few photos using my handphone and i have witness. That guy told me to claim his insurance, so we exchange details.

 

Friday i called up towing company to tow my bike to IDAC to make report and settle the claim for me. The motor shop staff told me that my bike not 100% can claim from the other party.

 

Below are the pics of my bike, can you guys tell me whether it is claimable from the other party. Please advice me, thanks.

what was his reason that you can't claim 100%?

 

in such cases, i think it best you contact your insurance company for advice too. i think it should be fine to claim from the other party. from what you said, everything seem to be on your side.

Yup, i parked at motorcycle lot. The reason the motor shop staff told me is ridiculous, he say my bike might be fallen down itself and the lorry just park there and did not hit my bike.

Did you took the picture of the area where the lorry had cntact with ur bike? this is crucial as it can prove that the lorry had knock onto ur bike if u are able to capture the contact point

If you look at pic 2, you can see the lorry is dented caused by my leg rest.

Usually how long must i wait to collect my bike? I call the workshop today and the staff told me she don't know, wait until they call me and ask me not to call them anymore.

Depending on how long your insurance company take to do stuff, surveyor from the other insurance to check on your bike and how long your workshop will take to repair it. My friend took about 1 month to get back his bike.
