You means those portable type which install inside the bike?

Mechanic did mentioned to me once but not sure how it works. Therefore, I didn't try.

I think I read someway in the forum that you'd mentioned it before but I didn't really pay much attention to it. Probably you can give us an introduction here as well. :)

I never owns other scooter before, AD 150 was my first then follow by AD 200. I bought both 2nd hand.

Both didn't give me much problems.

AD150; beside changed belt & roller, brake pads, tyres, the padcock was faulty once, couldn't find the OEM part, mechanic used part from other scooter. The speed sensor was faulty, therefore no display for travelling speed. Can't find the part, I just ignore it and continue rode till I scrapped it 2 years ago.

AD200; the thermal switch faulty, changed it at Mah for less then $30. Idling speed was a bit erratic, sometime stalled at traffic light. I changed the engine oil and add some oil treatment, the issue solved. So far no other problems.

I understand from others that Mah don't stock much parts, so far have not really encounter yet, therefore unable to comments.

The major problem with both scooters was rust. The body frame rust easily. I opened both casing/ body panels and use rust treatment for the bolt & nuts, welded joints etc.Applied oil and grease to all moving parts regularly.

It is a basic battery charger, not to be confuse with other device to be install on to vechicle like a " Battery Tender " " Battery Bug " etc etc.

A battery charger will charge your battery & CTEK has the AC to DC & DC to DC battery charger.

You means an external battery charger? That means need to remove the battery?

Troublesome lei, every time want to ride have to re-install the battery and need to reset the clock, radio stations and may be the ECU as well. :(

Just to lazy to do so..lol

Like: With built in Storage; look more stable than the AD3

Dislike: No Roof

Im sorry but it looks like a Chinese POS to me. Can bet it will never reach our shores so no point discussing about it.

Hey guys, interested in getting AD200, but would need some advice from you all.

How big is the boot space and underseat storage? Able to put 2 helmets (open face), 2 raincoats (is there a need for these with the roof?) and laptop bag?

Is it easy to maintain? are the parts expensive? (had previously own a X9 and the parts are EXPENSIVE) And only Mah carry in their parts? which means i have to go Mah for service and repairs? It seems that AD200 are quite rare... which i find it wierd coz the design is perfect for sg climate~ rain and shine all in one day!

And how thristy is AD200? 1litre can reach 30km?

Really appreciate if someone can help me out! :cheeky:

well then buy a lithium battery for your ride, cost much more but then you can be lazy ... lol

How much does it cost? No need to top up regularly? May be can consider..

Solar Panel chargers have been around for quite awhile - they do work but where can you place them on your ride ? No prefect solution mate !!!

I saw someone mount the solar penal on top of top box.. For Adiva, may be can mount on the roof..lol

I think no more stock for new AD200, only 2nd hands available.

Boot space under the seat is miserable, can't even put a half-cap. I used to store rain coats, slippers, parking coupon only.

The rear trunk can put 2 full face helmet if not storing the roof. With roof stored in the trunk, probably can put 2 half caps only. It is big enough for lap top bag.

Fuel consumption about 30km per liter. I usually top up 9-10 l for every 290-300 km.

Parts wise, I'm not very sure cause I didn't changed much.

Adiva can not sell well in Singapore cause it is expensive compare to other similar capacity scooters. It was about 11k OTR, others probably about 6-8k.

Thanks for the information! very useful.

Yar.. i have checked with Mah and new AD200 costs easily $11k...

2nd hand whats the market like now? for a 2011 or 2009 AD200

If I'm not wrong, the first AD200 is from 2008. So the price should be about 5k-9k for 2008-2012?

Therefore, I think 2009 model should be around +- 6k.

I heard Mah have 1 unit which less then 1 year old (may be 2011) and asking for about 8k or 8.5k. Heard the previous owner only rode for 3 months.

Thanks lots for the info! Might begin my search for one! :)

On a side note, are 3 wheelers much better than 2 wheelers? ie AD3 vs AD200.

Coz the machine price for both are quite similar, but AD200 would prob drop once AD3 comes out though..

Would u recommend to get 2nd hand AD200 or just whack the AD3 200?

never tried a 3 wheeler b4.. hahaa

I share the concern as Ben, not sure if AD3 200 engine would be adequate or not... but lazy to take 2A also..

would the 3 wheels give maintenance headache?

Mah has a few units 2nd hand AD200, you can try them. You might be surprise sometime can get a good bargain.

My friend just dropped his MP3 for ran over a slippery road, so 3 wheeler still can drop.

Theoretically 3 wheeler should be better road holding. I only briefly rode my friend's MP3 for a day, can't really tell the difference.

I don't know what to recommend cos I sold my AD200 and booked a AD3. :)

AD3 being a all new model, so some glitches are expected.

AD3 cannot squeeze between cars during slow traffic / jams leh. I rather buy an MP3 400ie and fix up a roof. Haha.

Yeap, 3-wheeler still can fall. People who ride it tend to corner a bit steeper than a 2-wheeler. And when that happens, somehow, the geometry of the MP3 means tipping on the wheel of the corner and lifting the other wheel in a steep bank. That's how it skids.

I'm now waiting for the Quadro 4D 500cc (using Piaggio X10 500cc engine) or the Quadro Parkour 330cc (using the X10 350 engine).

4-wheel technology, can't skid. Haha.

I can't imagine how would AD3's lane splitting ability be inferior to mp3 as their width is not much different? I have considered MP3 with aftermarket roof but the lack of wiper is difficult to live with in heavy rain as I have tried not turning on my wiper in such conditions on my previous adiva.

Adiva is slightly wider to comply to Europe's car regulation. Heard in Europe that they allowed riding AD3 with car license. The new MP3 LT had widen the wheel span too to comply to the same Europe code to allow to ride with car license.

Overall width of AD3 is 10mm lesser then AD200, so I don't think there is much problem to lane splitting.

Quadro coming to Singapore? Anyway, Quadro 4D will never pass as motorcycle in Singapore.

Thanks for all the advice! Think it will ultimately goes down to budget (always the bugger preventing all the cool things in life) Hahah! :p

Too bad you let go of yr AD200 so early. I would prob make a trip to Mah and see what they have to offer if i trade in my fino.

Would be waiting for your review once you get your AD3 ya! cheers!
