Honda XR650R - 2004

Recently got a XR600 super-moto and loving it. Anyone have any idea how much the new XR650 R would cost on the road? VERY tempting.

 

Another question. Will the standard Givi Box rack for a XR400 fit an XR600?

Hello there, i am riding a XR650L SM. I have tried putting on a XR400 rack onto my bike. It will fit but you have to do some modifications like placing a stack of washers under the centre bolt. Nothing much. Just some creative ideas will do.

Hey terri_one, I have a XR650L LS, been riding for almost 4 years, serve me well. May i ask where do you go for servicing, i have some problems with the engine oil burning off, pillion complained very hot on the heels, so want to go to a trusted one who can see to the problem once and for all. My take is the valve seals issue (recently went for a top overhaul). Also, I am using a 10/40 engine oil, used to be 15/50, what's yours? Mind to share? How does the SM and LS differs?

What terri_one referred to his XR650L SM, is that his XR650L was on a supermotard setup.

 

You can PM "AJ", he has owned probably all the Honda XR ever produced, he is riding a XR650R now.
