Not really, although you will find as many opinions about oil as there are people on the planet.

 

New oil does make shifting easier on some bikes... the long chain molecules in the oil break down after a while because of the transmission gears.

Acceleration: don't think so.

 

Smoothness: Just as Strong Eagle have observed (see above post), easier gear shifting.

well somehow the engine oil does become black after sometime(if you do notice during oil change).. it clears away some of the deposits in your engine?
