As mentioned, can different brands of 2T oil mixed together? And if can, any possible harm to engine? Is using the most expensive 2T oil relevant to keep the engine healthy?

What will happen if 2T oil is used up, will the engine stil work? What about gear oil? do we have to change ofter, eg. once in 3 months or? can we change by ourselves? if can, how to do that?

Once again...sorry to ask questions that might seem silly. (i really have no clue about bikes, yet i went to take 2B and buy a scooter......)

Thanks, any response will be appreciated !

2T is a lubricant and it's main function is to lubricate (coat oil on) the pistons in your scooter engine. It prevents the pistons from melting & jamming due to excessive heat. Mixing different types of 2T shouldn't be a problem as long as they are 2T! There are of cos diff grades of 2Ts...but for a transport Skipper. Just use a low smoke type should be more than sufficient to keep the engine happy

Unless you always wack full throttle! :help:

Please always ensure there is 2T in your bike for a 2 stroke bike! No 2T means your pistons might overheat and jam! :faint:

Your Skipper uses a bit of gear oil in its' gears. If you don't feel safe. Just go to any bike shop and ask the mech to change or top up GEAR oil for you...should be abt $5 incl service charge

Gear oil as long as they don't leak can last maybe a year+ cos for Skippers, the belt is more crucial lah... do check the 2T pump is working properly if given chance cos if the 2T belt (it is a mini belt running to pump 2T into your engine) spoil, then your bike might jam...

maybe it's too much info for you to digest...go to Skippernet to ask qn too!

Be contented and you have the world... be greedy and you'll never be happy.
