I got a different theory that the four party fight will not dilute the votes.

 

Why? Almost everyone thinks the real fight is betweem WP and PAP. This means that those who vote for SDA (Desmond had less than 5% in last attempt and forfeited deposit) and those who vote for RP know that this two candidates will not win. A portion of votes for this 2 parties are really just votes which would previously be blank votes and discarded votes. People who want to voice their discontent against PAP but not vote in an opposition MP will vote for this 2 parties who are unlikely to win.

 

It is my opinion that parties like SDA and RP have insufficient support to mount a real challenge, and hence, any symphathy support they may have garnered in straight fights will likely go towards a more credible and reputable opposition heavyweight in multi-party fights. In this case, it's WP.

 

It will be a slap in PAP's face if they lose this one

at least increase WP votes, then maybe some in PAP will falter and go over, if get another 10 percent frm previous should be enough to win

Ahaha.. I also agree with u take away the two clowns better. Those votes that go to this 2 clowns, half go WP half go blank votes also good. Better chance for WP win.

 

Also agree with u, got sobbing got acting more happening and more show to see. GE2012 was more interesting than previous GE. I look forward to the next GE also, hopefully even more show to see
