..... I think I "pa jiao" or "blur leow".....

 

When I state my previous statement about the fuel indication... I typed it by recalling from my memory... But then when I check my Japanese Honda VTEC Booklet from my Bol'Dor, it clearly states that only when malfunction occurs to the electronic readout of the fuel tank then the indicators would be as follows:

 

Though my memory think otherwise, but the book is steel-proof that I am wrong...

1) mudman CB400 Spec II 21km/litre -> think it's time to clear my air filter liaoz lah ...haa

2) Amano CB400 Spec 3- only 23km/litre(Best ever hit 24.5km/litre with stock condition) -- Cannot improve further liao even with Revtec also no diff in consumption. Hai....

3) CrossOver CB400 Spec I => Dun know how you all calculate the km/litre but mine hit reserve at 260km ..

4) stkoh78 CB400 II ~21km/litre => traveled ard 355km before pumping full tank.

5) khookahkiat CB400 Spec III Bold'Or => fuel consumption like f***! hit abt 260 before reserve flashes... must be my half fairing very heavy... hahaha

6) NoobVtec2 CB400 Spec II => 19.5-20km/litre No matter how hard i try,still can't improve. Total Mileage 60000km.

7) aH_gUAn CB400 Spec II = > 18 km/litre. Use to be better but getting worse.

any bro can enlighten me.....why is FC for Spec 2 usually not as gd as compare to spec 1 and 2.......

 

is it true that the engine of spec 2 and spec 3 is the same????

Personally, I think it's the way you ride. If we don't enable VTEC when we ride, the FC should be the same in all VTEC versions. I ride a SPEC II and seldom enable VTEC. So, more or less I get an FC of about 22-23km/L. Not only that, I don't do hard acceleration. Only once in a while la.. ha.. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi Guys

 

A new owner for Spec 2.......

 

1)My FC really bad, travel on expressway with max speed of 100 km before Vetec open and light on my throuter.....travel for 260Km and pump 13.5 liter of fuel of caltex gold from JB...is it too high for FC?? how many liter does Spec 2 hold??

 

I have already change Engine Oil, spark plug, and wash my KNN air filter.....and the rev of my engine remain constant at 1 so I suppose need not tune my engine....and heard that we should not anyhow wash the cabrator so never touch.....

 

2) Whenever before i go pump patrol I tried to ram my bike and can see black colour smoke coming out from the exhart......is that normal?? Was told by friend have to do that to clear it.....but do lots of time and still lots of black smoke after hard ram of the throuter.....

 

can anyone help!!!!! high FC very hard to tahan lay........is a stock bike with a Givi "simpility" rear box and two E21 side box.....and belly pan

think FC also consist on urban and xpressway riding sequences..if u ride more on expressway..think u can get better FC....if at urban..think slightly lower(based on both bike same throttle style,stock,model,total weight,tyre pressure and so on.)Correct me if i am wrong.

a normal spec 2 can get around 20 - 22km/l. for ur case, is about 19km/l. abit on the high side. but FC depends on how u ride ur bike n maintian ur bike.

 

carbuerator need to service n tune but not to do it very often. when was the last servicing of the carb? n did u pump enough air in ur tyres? worn chain n sprocket? or did u oil ur chain? cos if chain too dry will affect the FC. others like bearings r minor.

 

when u ram ur bike at stationery, got black smoke, its normal. cos its a free gear n combustion is not complete. so the fuel is unburnt n therefore blow out as black smoke. so no matter wat, where n when u ram ur bike, sure got black smoke. n to add on, free gear ram bike not very good for the bike.

 

n then expressway n city riding can greatly affect FC. city riding will have a higher FC.
