Mine fully stock spec 3. Hit highest 23.5km/l. Riding style rpm 6 at xpressway. Or 80-90km/hr most of the time. Guess the tire do plays alot for this FC issue.

FC goes high when ur tires r low pressure which makes the bike travels more sluggish. Therefore I oways pump once within 2 weeks.

Now my FC remains at this level, unless i on & off play wif it. Last but nt least i seldom drag more den rpm 4 in 1st 5 gears. Only drag when 6th gear. Dun kinda lyk to play pickup.

the ridding style and bike also play a part..

i used to ride spec 2.. my milage 280-290 hit reserve.

now ridding spec 1 ride tll 330-340 reserve havent hit reserve.

i think due to vtec open slower. spec 2 at 100kph open vtec liao. spec 1 at 100kph not open vtec..

Old Bike doesnt mean no good and new Bike doesnt mean good...

Yah I agree with you that old doesn't mean no good....But in my case I assume the previous 6 owners abuse the machine before I took over so that's why fuel consumption very high due to wrecked engine or watsoever....

Hi guys, just got a ver S too.

Curious on the capacity of the fuel tank. I saw the fuel needle at res and went topping up. To my surpise only manage to top up 10L till the breem already.

So in the average a full tank can go 350-400 huh?

Thank you all the bro here.

So roughly what is the tank capacity of the ver S then? just worried that will run till the tank dry then "jia la"

i know the Vtec S4 is around 17L including reserve. Is our the same?

Should be 18 litre. Usually you'll physically hit reserve (not via fuel gauge) at the 15 litre mark.

As for the fuel gauge, for me when the needle is way past the 'reserve' mark and doesn't bounce back up on braking then the bike will go into reserve.

Wow...learnt a lot from the replies...Anyway, there's something I've yet to try and see if it's the cause of high consumption; clutch plates.... ...maybe my clutch plates are worn so there's a lost in the power transmission from engine to wheels...I'll change my clutch plates when I got $$$....:cheeky:

How is your project doing? Can the forks fit in your RS?

they fit exactly. However, I've forsaken the idea of fitting an adaptor to the brake caliper and go for the full thing instead. But it's damn hard to find a cheap front 02-03 rim! And the top clamp is even rarer!

Maybe I'll sell it off on eBay again. Cos got lobang to buy a TL1000R full front setup...hehe...
