hmmm i damn scared sia cause i did a calculation say on average spec 1 can hit 22-25km/l so the tank before reserve is 15l so i should be hitting 330-350km for a tank before reserve right.. but right now im at 220km so is it possible to hit 110+km before the reserve..? im only left with 2.5 bar.. how ah..?

 

Actually diff rider will have diff FC. there wont be 2 bike having the same figure. FC depend a lot on the rider styles and also the weight.

 

btw i'm riding a spec 1, will go around 280-300 km b4 i hit reserve. and with regards of the digital meters, wat i felt is that its not that accurate, for my first 2 bar normally i hit around 130++ then i go towards the third bar after which the rest drop veri fast. like each bar can push u to 50km. 6 bars = 300km b4 it blink.

oh okok than its normal for my bike le.. i thought my bike FC very high... but after checking through the forum realise its normal... anyway is there anything i can do to my bike to make the FC better... does adding revtec do the job?

My spec II can clock me about 320km before reserve. But this is depending that i am riding at not more than 100km/h (not opening vtec). So in general , ride slower, save petrol............

Its a pain to hear others clocking more than 300++km on their S4....I've just changed 1) Spark plugs 2) K&n Air filter 3) Oil filter and engine oil and even fix on REV-TEC just to see if theres any changes....but everything's the same..220km and it hit reserve!!! when i turn on the key my bar run from left to right..but when i start igniton. i left with 1 bar but it did not blink so am i hitting reverse already ? or wait til it blink than i hit reverse..

when the fuel gauge don't run then you're still not yet in reserve. and also when your bike is tilted the reading is different, but fuel gauge is just a rough guide.. judge by mileage will be more ideal..

should start pumping petrol when u see the bar running left to right and won't stop at 1 bar again..

 

and also if u have reseted your "Trip 1 or 2" during the previous full tank.. just pump a full tank and reset the meter, and when hit reserve, take note of the amount of petrol pumped (full tank that is).

 

so let's say u pumped 15litres.. and traveled 320km on your previous full tank, it will be 320 / 15 = 21.3333...km/l.. for super4 it should be around there..

ok thanx for the advice..i think i hit reverse around 320km.. so it should be like wat u say 21.333km/L..but i see alot of guy saying they can hit around 23-24km/l i dun get it..i seldom on vtec too..may be its my jet kit and full system eat too much fuel..haha

with full system and jet kit, guess your FC is consider good already..mine all stock and that reading never appear on my full tank run as of now..

that will explain why your FC is relatively good

Wat do u mean by vtec?? Can explain?? U mean on gear 6??

hi.. Although I'm riding a spec 1, I think your fuel consumption is on the high side.. A typical full tank, my first bar can last me around 120km.. Or is it that u didn't pump till near the brim?

u all pump till it reach the brim or until the recommended by the manual 1 until the round corner there? i onli pump till the round corner there and not to the tip until like its going to spill out ley. is it the case?

bro whether u pump to the brim or pump half tank, it's not going to affect ur FC at all.. Maybe by a little little bit cos ur tank is lighter is u nv pump full tank.. even if u pump 15l and travel 300km while i pump 5l and travel 100km.. Our FC is the same, it has nothing to do at all with whether pump to brim or not..

Hi all, just to add on... 10yr old PB1 with F.C 22km/L, riding style: moderate, change gear at 6k, highway cruising at 90-100, occasionally 110 when downslope, often freewheel to optimise f.c.

riding a spec 1.. vtec rarely open.. fc about 22km/l.. change gear at about 5k rpm.. is the norm already?
