Haha i get what you mean. I give up monitoring my FC, and just enjoy the mods i've done to it. whack it abit, open vtec once or twice while riding and just immerse myself in the bike.

 

Just that every 260km i'll pump my tank. Oh well.

hey..my spec 1 only hit 280 then reserve. that is a total of 18km/l...my mech said that its because of my sprocket ratio. currently im using 42 for the rear and 15 for the front. is it true? i already wash my carb, setting it but still the same. any recommendations?

stock pipe

knn filter

mileage 200000

tuning+washing done twice in 10mths. still doing same FC.

 

will changing of the floating needle/valve help? and will grounding help?

my ex spec one max i tried 371km include reserve liao.. den pump about 17+ litres shell 95. now i'm riding spec 2 and it's only 200km left with 1 bar before reserve. shell 98 btw.. big big difference. hmm will go to ah pek for help someday..

then i think version is the most fuel efficient. I can run up till 420 km if i travel long distances. so my average fuel consumption is about 25-27km/l

dont trust the meter, its better to see how many Litres u can pump in, then calculate

 

my spec 2 also 200km left 1bar. but after pumping, i realized its actually still far from reserve. lol:(

quite bad. No matter how bad my riding habit is like , my lowest is ard 21 km/l . On average , my tank can last me 380km plus . i am on spec2

I'm riding Spec I and my bike can go ~360km before hitting reserve. Super shiok! Haha

 

Anyone knows how many litres exactly for Spec I full tank? Heard its 18L same as all other versions of S4. 16L main tank and 2L reserve

I kind find it a waste to find ways to improve FC and ride like an ahpek (no offence to forummer Ah Pek eh lol).

Should just enjoy the ride man. Fuel is already cheaper then cars and its probably not more than $25 per full tank.

Just wanna share this with fellow S4 riders, a friend of mine intro me rewitec and it has helped in fuel consumption for my bike after the treatment significantly. From 18/liter to 23/liter. Maybe you guys can check it out. PM me if interested to know where to buy all that

Bought a FP Version S in Feb 2010.

 

300 km = under 14 litre, 1st tank.

Best run till date, 350 km and reserve still not activated.

recently my f/c drop from full tank 320km b4 reserve to 280km full tank b4 reserve. recently only change coolant and install a cigger power socket to charge my hp on the move.. i don't think will affect the f/c right?

Could it be after installing the socket, it affected the reading of your fuel gauge. So instead of the drop in fc maybe its actually your gauge that is not reading properly. When it hits reserve see how much petrol you can pump then calculate if it has really dropped or not.

Hmm... So consider mine at 350km hit reserve okay lah? My riding style is Mon-Fri never exceed 100km/hr. Weekends, never exceed 120km/hr. Hehe... Safety rider mah...
