That is totally true... Well maintained chains do give you gd FC.

I was gentle with my throttle. Few days ago i ride at NSH and maintain 130-140km/h n i got 18.6km/L using Petronas95 :(

im okay with throttle and rarely open vtec, but my fc always around 18-19 -_- Spec 1 here with yoshi endcan nia.and remove header.sian what could be the cause eh?

 

check my settings and air filter all ok leh T_T

S4 vtec full Tank standard around 350km... so 19km x 18l = 342km..

 

Its normal. Am riding spec 1 also... I get abt 280km then reserve.

Yours is normal... I'm hitting around that range too. Now FC going up cos air filter need to service.

dogshit..our fc not as gd as spec2 and 3 meh?haha..my friend's 4-1 hodaka+two brother end can..can hit 320-340 sia..a bit sad.

 

my mech recommend me to replace my stock jets soon since mine i think is seriously 10yrs old liao :X

Yupz... Give a check on your jets, needle, and your float jet (the jet at the float bowl with pointed rubber tip). These are wear items that need replacing after some time.

My spec 1 gives about 340 before reserve... Am gentle on the throttle but still the response a bit poor and the tuning a bit out due to all the impurities build up in the carb... now only gives about 300 before reserve.

That is stil ok... Try to get your carbs serviced. I was thinking of installing an inline fuel filter after the tank before goin to the carb tubing.

MY revo is not giving me good figures also. I get 280KM before hitting reserve. Fully stock condition. No mods whatsoever... Any ideas to improve it guys?

hey guys, just wondering that recently i pump full tank on shell 95 on my spec1,now mileage is 198 and when i start my bike the petrol meter flash from left to right, after awhile riding it indicate 2 bars, issit normal to spec1 or something is wrong?

That's normal cos your fuel sensor is on the right side of the tank and your bike is leaning to the left on its side stand. So petrol is accumulated to the left showing low fuel by the sensor.

Normal solo riding according to Honda's spec is 225/255. With pillion and load is 250/290. Play ard in this range to suit the different types of tyre compound.

 

Since its the rainy season, I stick to 225/255 for optimum grip even in the wet.

Guys,...im riding the Spec2 and suspect my consumption is very bad...i can only get 240-250 before hitting reserve..is it dat bad or normal?...

 

the old owner is using knn filter but i think never service or clean before...looks kind of black and old...also i didnt check with the bikeshop whether they did carb servicing when i took out the bike..suspect never did...

 

Any other things that i should do/check to help increase my fuel consumption?

 

Btw if need to do carb servicing..need to change engine oil is it??....i just only changeout the engine oil and oil filter

either change ur knn or wash it .. since u know its black... for me, do 1 at a time so u know wat really weent wrong.... btw serv carb no need to change eo

u can do both likewat fazli said... jus tt u might wanna prepare more cash cos when they service carb, if those rubber thingy cracks and the jet needle gt scratchs, they will advise u to change... end up is more than 100 for carb.. thats wat i exp... u might wanna soon pian check ur coolent cos my current bike comes wif black knn n zero coolent lv in spare tank.. don know wat the ex owner doing .... i also nt sure if low coolent will result in poor fc or nt..

Yes, just prep yourself with more cash. Carb parts that are worn out and need changing costs alot. Especially the needles and float jet.

Alamak i just only read u guys post now....darn..went to install the scottoiler..as well as service the knn filter and carburetor......when servicing the carb...they say my jet needle got line already..cannot use..then o-ring also flatten already...then the rubber hose that the carb connects to also worn out....:cry::cry:.....total damage...$232 incl service charge...

 

Haiya..should have gone back to the bike shop dat i bought from...at least the price will be cheaper or even free....o_O

 

Also now im hearing some sound like (ting-ting)...dats normal rite?
