On December 6, 2020 at approximately 5.00pm, a team of police from the IPD Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division consisting of 5 officers and 36 members have conducted a "Mat Rempit" Operation on Senangin Lake Persiaran Road, Crown Hill, Lenggeng in Negeri Sembilan.

Intelligence and observation at the location found a group of motorcycle riders performing dangerous action on motorcycles and competing against each other that could cause danger to other road users.

Through the operations, police managed to arrest 76 motorcycles over various offences. A total of 327 summons have been issued for a total of 350 offences. 4 teenagers aged 15 to 18 years old were arrested under section 42 (1) APJ 1987 while 3 more male teenagers were arrested under section 15 (1) ADB 1952 due to positive drugs type of Methaphetamine after urine test results were done.

Out of the total arrested, as many as 18 motorcycles were seized and brought to the Investigation And Traffic Enforcement Division of IPD for further action.

The Nilai District Police Headquarters - specially the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division will continue to run operations like this from time to time in an effort to stem the "Mat Rempits" that can disturb the public peace.
