I also going for the 4th time for L3.. If fail I don't know what to say liao.

If fail just go again. Just keep pushing and you will get it. Importantly don't give up. I've fell countless times for F8 and even crank. One of my battle scars were earned from F8.

Waiting for your good news!

I have seen one guy at cdc with a modular helmet. Not sure it is for classes. you ride scrambler before the course must be a breeze for you.

Modular not comfortable to flip up all the time because it's heavy. I don't think the instructors will allow you to close it though.

Thanks for the replies!

Yeah i've been riding around SEA for a few years liao. Not easy to pass, have built up quite a lot of bad habits... haha. Okay, will ask the instructors tomorrow when I get my PDL.

Thanks kenneth! Will do so tomorrow!

@rijac, I figured.. think the instructors will want to see your face haha!

@darkredmica, guess I'll be fine with the weight, don't want to mount my gopro mount on another open face...

Thanks rijac, managed to pass my prac 6 on first try after reading and re-reading the tips you have given. Although I did feel a little sotong on the road since it's my first time riding out..

Hopefully all will go smoothly for prac 7!

I think you guys should start a new thread. CDC CLASS 2B (2014). This is taking up too many pages.

Thanks rijac, After much digging, finally found the route map! It's on page 27 for those who wants to read it... I very much agree we should start a new thread.

I don't know anyone kind enough to drive me that far out, so I'll just try to visualize haha.

@PBbombomlee you sound like an experienced rider, im sure you can move through the pracs very quickly despite the bad habits :x

hmm guys, don't think this has been covered before (or maybe I'm blind), can anyone elaborate on the pedestrian part on the road? I remb the instructor said if I'm making a turn (either left or right), if there is a road divider, we can ride through if the pedestrian crossing the road has not reach the divider. and if there's no divider, we have to wait till they completed reached from one end to another end..

but when my friend took the prac, the instructors didnt mention this, they said you can turn as long as it's a safe distance away.. so which is which?

and what if the pedestrians are walking AWAY from you? Does the same apply?

Which pedestrian crossing are you talking about? In general or at a specific location? Anyway, if the pedestrian is walking away from you, wait for about 2-3 seconds before moving off, don't really need to wait for him/her to complete crossing. And yes, what the instructor said to you is true; you can turn if the pedestrian has yet to reach the divider, or if the pedestrian has yet to complete 3/4 crossing, but not if they have passed more than 3/4 of the road.

Hi @Walabam, thanks for replying! im talking about in general.. ohh hmm.. so whether there is a divider or not does not affect anything? we still follow the same rule?

@Walabam : I mean this rule haha: you can turn if the pedestrian has yet to reach the divider, or if the pedestrian has yet to complete 3/4 crossing, but not if they have passed more than 3/4 of the road.

becos tt time the instructor specifically said (or so I tot I heard) that if no divider gotta wait till they fully crossed from one end to another - I think for walking towards us ..

btw if you are trying to turn right and there are ppl crossing, you still gotta wait near the turn pockets there right?
