Look at the amount of bloody theory lessons!!! I really regret not going for my lessons when 18... no circuit orientation, no BTT required ~.~

@Geralddine I really hope will really be easy... lol. Good luck for your pracs!

when at biting point, or half-clutch, must i throttle slightly in order for the bike to move off?

because if i remembered correctly, during the first part of Prac 1, i did not throttle at all, instead just using biting point to move to the wall of tyres.

the other guy beside me was throttling and thus it was noisy and the instructor said he didnt want so noisy.

so I didnt throttle at all from then on because the engine seems to rev too loud whenever i try throttling slightly while at biting point.

@PBbombomlee : woah that's really alot of lessons, I don't remb taking so many last time o_O all the best (in trying to stay awake) haha :) and thks too!

@TRICKTRICK : for the bike to move off from biting pt, you are supposed to throttle slightly and at the same time let go abit of the clutch, otherwise it will get noisy. btw try to practise more of these because you will need to inch forward alot in future when queuing up

@Walabam : I mean this rule haha: you can turn if the pedestrian has yet to reach the divider, or if the pedestrian has yet to complete 3/4 crossing, but not if they have passed more than 3/4 of the road.

becos tt time the instructor specifically said (or so I tot I heard) that if no divider gotta wait till they fully crossed from one end to another - I think for walking towards us ..

btw if you are trying to turn right and there are ppl crossing, you still gotta wait near the turn pockets there right?

Hmm, I think this one clarify with your instructor better, but do it before/after lesson. If you ask during lesson they can't hear and you can't hear, end up both parties get irritated/confused.

And yes, if you are turning right and there are people crossing, wait in the pocket/yellow box.

What the...now must take Basic Theory lessons even if you passed? And 3 defensive riding lessons?! Was only 2 for me last year...holy crap so many changes...Anyway, you got experience so it shouldn't be so tough for you :p Btw is Bryan taking 2B also?

You can use only the biting point to move, but of course, it's going to be slow. Using biting point is for like real-life situations like traffic jams or inching forward. If really wanna move off, then of course you must throttle, unless you wanna be travelling at 10km/h xD

Release more clutch and your engine rpms will start to dip and become quiet...this is when you need to throttle slightly more to compensate and let the bike roll forward

@Walabam he's taking class 3 haha! Is it? I ask the instructor later. If no need then become 8 theory lessons already!

@Geralddine ya thanks... I go after camp some more, gonna be super duper sleepy..

Once you move beyond the tyre wall always rev. No more clutch release without revving. You will need to start moving off at a faster pace

Ok, once I've completed all my four RTT theories, I can either book E-trial or Internal Evaluation, right? E-trial can book many times also? Internal Evaluation do what?

Posted

Internal Evaluation is like an exam within the school. Just like how you need to sit for prelims before your O/N levels.

However, the difference is that you need to pass the internal evaluation before you're allowed to book your RTT.

E-trial is like your 10-year-series, you keep doing them until you're confident, then go for your internal evaluation, e-trials again before your RTT.

I personally think that the best way is to book 1 or 2 sessions of e-trial before your internal evaluation or RTT.

@Walabam : that's true about not to ask during lesson, I can totally imagine that scenario haha. thanks alot i'll try this on monday :)

before lesson 7 there is a long briefing usually. you can ask then.

i can't remember the answer but i know it has to do with waiting from them to pass the divider/half way mark. if in doubt, wait longer, the most you get 2 points for delay in moving off....

lol

The moment you cleared all 4 RTT theories, which one do you normally book first - E-trial or Internal Evaluation?

Hey guys! I recently passed my Practical 5. And looking carefully at the checklist, I noticed they wrote there "Accumulation 12 or more demerit points constitutes a failure". The thing is, I got a little more than 12 points, but they ticked passed. Is that okay? Seems like the instructors give chance or something?

@fat-lip evaluation. Long wait. Etrial is a dime a dozen. Just book 2 Etrial the day before evaluation. 2 session enough to complete all 10 papers
