Failed my lesson 6 (1st time) today. Had 2 immediate failure where one of which I misunderstood the instructor's hand signal and the 2nd failure when inside CDC, drove diagonally into making a right turn before getting turning right into the nursery. Trying again next Monday

No. Not diagonally into the right turn. Diagonally to the ctr lane & the turn right at the blindwall junction & right again into the nursery.

So step by step:

1) from gv way line at chevron marking, chk away frm chevron marking with left signal on.

2)move off when clear & immediately signal right, chk right blindspot & enter the ctr lane. (the 2nd left dirn lane)

3)move towards blindwall junction & turn right + right blindspot

4) nearing nursery turn, right blindspot & turn in.

Thanks jbdoggy. The distance between the give way line and to making a right turn is pretty short. Does it mean that I need to, at least, get the bike to travel a short straight distance? Probably will need to revisit again and ask the instructor on monday

Yes. It is a very short distance. Thats why i said the very moment you move off from gv way line you hv to signal right already & standby to chk right blindspot. Getting onto the ctr lane is considered a lane change.

When you move off frm gv way line, you enter the 1st lane closest to you, but you need to get to ctr lane, so thats a lane change, even tho its jus a straight diagonal from a riders perspective.

@Stealth123 Actually the more laid bk i become. 2b v v anxious to pass. 2a became relax, no rush tk my time, still hv 2b bike to play. Now waitg cl2, become even more bo chap. If the rest of my life ride super 4, still ok what! Commuting on cl2 bike also very difficult on main roads cos cant squeeze in here & there like 2b bike cos everywhere so congested nowadays, so youre going to be stuck in traffic like a car & no air con some more lol. The damn arf also made my dream bike literally into a dream bike!! Need 1-2 more yrs to save the extra $10-$12k. So I dont hv that "cant wait to enrol" feeling if that makes sense. time to enrol, i jus go enrol. Jus tk it as it comes.

For me jbdoggy, I just hope to done with the class 2 licence and just hope new announcement to clear the ARF thing or lower COE..Poison is there but the wallet money is not enough to clear the poison so indeed will stick with my super 4...Look forward to your class 2 learning experience sharing !

Hey, what jbdoggy reply is pretty much correct from what i rememeber; its kinda like when u need to signal and check bind spot right away after move off ; so the traffic die die have to be clear.

Hello! My first attempt at Lesson 1 next week on 25th May 2017. Any tips? I have never ridden a bike before, quite scared of the clutch and gear changing. Also, if there were 5people in the bang tire section and 1 or 2 can already manage the bike well, can they join the rest in the mini circuit or do they need to wait for all 5 to be ready in order to move off together?

Hi! Good luck for your lesson 1.

I believe it is individually assessed, if you are good enough jiu individually can go to mini circuit (provided if mini circuit itself got ppl already practising there).

Do you know how to ride a motorobike already? if yes, please tell them at the start of the lesson, so you dont have to waste time to bang tire :)

For me, I remember I was so excited that I couldnt get to sleep the previous night!

Nothing to fear until u really tried it. Don't be afraid to fall, and when u going to fall/lose balance, you can increase throttle slightly to stabalize yourself.

The real fun starts only when you get out of the mini circuit :)

Do remember, failure is part and parcel throughout the journey towards 2B! I was super dispointed after I failed my first lesson, but realised that it requires a few tries before I can progress.

Oh ya! Also, do you guys usually rent the locker or leave your bags at the gathering area?

My hp and wallet with me at all time. I try to avoid bringing my laptop(from work) there as much as possible.

If really need to put somewhere secure, you can ask the instructor to see if can leave it in the instructor's office for safeguarding at your own risk.

Thanks Ninja for the tip to open the throttle slightly and your encouragement! I booked 2x lesson 1 on 25th, hopefully i'll be able to clear it!
