What are the things that you need to replace???... Perhaps the online community can help you on that issue...

It's the wire harness assembly. It's the main electircal artery of the bike lah, essentially. Suay lor.

If u lift up ur fuel tank, it's comes with a huge rubber cover, the part that got burnt off is slightly below the cover.

 

Most likely going to get a hand 2nd item online and try my luck, cos 1 month wait is just too long.

I did some searches and found that the 2003-2003 FZS1000 are basically the same bike and the wire harness assembly is sharing the identical item code as I went through the the parts catalogues. (US model)

 

But when I call HL, they say it's a slightly diff number. Strange.

I tried Hong Leong, Autocycle, and a few other bigger bike shops.

HL and Auto says 3-4 weeks. The bike shops says they take parts from HL/Autocycle, so they got no stocks also.

 

In the end, I think I can get from online faster. I already got a couple of options, so I hope to get back on the saddle by next week if everything works out well.

 

1 month wait for spares is bordering on ridiculous to me. And it is not a rare bike...suay lor, I suppose.

 

 

bro did u try the small shop next to bike lab? the one which sells yamaha parts?

 

not sure if doesnt make a diff considering stock comes from HL..can try if u in the area

That shop is Autocycle. :p

OC... the different model number prob for the US/California/Euro/JP models...

 

But then essentially should serve the same functions if connected up properly...

i know why u cannot find the lock.......

because, there isn't one in the first place.

 

bicycle lock, padlock, chain lock.... whatever rocks your boat. :)

Have a look at this site to see what can work for you. There isn't a helmet lock on the FZ1.

if ur helmet is psb approved...u can try my way...after u remove the pillion seats..there r 2 hook below...place the ring* of the helmet into it n put back ur seat loh.simple as tat...:thumb:

i dun treat my bike as anyone...it something i put on trust with...something tat i cherish on... nobody can kill me on the road unless myself or the machine i trust. :thumb:
