anyone got experience with remote start alarms and FZ6 04 ?

I just did my break in for my fz1. My advice to you would be just ride normally as you don't have to strictly follow the 5 or 6,000 rpm rule. You can actually go slightly above the rpm recommended in the user manual, just don't maintain out of the recommended rpm and you will be fine. Try to rev more on your engine (go up and down the rpm) instead of riding dully (hook up whenever rpm reaches 3,000), i feel that that will be more fun and better for your run-in.

 

just want check , should i change the engine oil at 1000km , or now which is at 400+ km now ready

For EO change what i did was as below: (note that i did the EO change when my odometer shows the following mileage)

500km - Change mineral oil plus oil filter

2500km - Change Semi-Syn oil plus oil filter

5000km - Change Fully-Syn oil, oil filter, air filter and spark plug

 

However you can also follow the oil change according to the book and you should be fine. Do note that if you can actually get 2 X Mineral Oil change at HL free if you go back to them but u have to make an appointment before you go down.

I'm interested in touring to cameroon or thailand... any of you done that? I'm interested in putting a aftermarket windscreen for more comfortable trip, is that needed? Currently my friend is asking me to go on a touch and go trip to cameroon highland (leave sg in the evening, reach cameroon at midnight and back in sg by break of light). I'm wondering if that would be too 'xiong' as this is like my first trip. Any experienced rider please advice.

if you go back to them now, they will double your warranty as well...

 

12 months or 10 000km...

I bought my H&B side panniers last week, brand new at M-technik, PM me for the price.

 

As mentioned by LollyPop be4, U'll love the side panniers. First week of using it, pretty hard to get used to it. Having such large side panniers made riding between cars difficult, but not impossible.

 

All u need is some practice and u'll get the hang of it.

Yamaha Fz6 fazer and Fz6 fazer s2 are different by the look of the speedo metre.

yes, i've been to few shops eg Looi, Mah Motor, i-Motoring and I only see the S2 version. guess it's much more in demand for a more sleek black colour as compared to the plain silver

Erm, i think theres only 2 variants of Fz6 07 in sg. Fz6N and Fz6 S2. Fz6N is the naked version, and S2 is the one with windscreen.

 

Its pretty much the same for the 2 variant. Depending u prefer which look. I chose the S2 is mainly becoz i need the windscreen if i were to do touring.

 

And the price for S2 and Naked is pretty much the same.
