The diff in a Fazer and R1 is in the usage.

 

U can go real fast with the R1 with confidence. Especially if you're talking abt conquering corners. But you need commitment to live with something like this. It's really a no compromise bike.

 

 

The FZ is a more usable bike. Jack of all trades.

Heard the same thing happened to speedpass's fren after he pushed into the shop...

hi ppl, wish to get some advice..

 

How come the FZ1 rectifier will get burnt? My fren FZ1 yesterday, the meter lights went off and on while riding... then when go check at shop, discovered some wires were burnt and needs to change the rectifier... unsure should just change a 2nd hand one or a brand new one...anyone knows whats the cause for this problem?

If your fren check on the overseas sites, it would have been stated that the connectors for the rectifier might have been undercatered forthe type of current that the bike is carrying.

 

Advise to change a new one since it is only less then 100 bucks per piece...

 

Modify the connectors as well.

By connector, you mean that white plastic wire-connecting housing, 1 male/ 1 female?

Modify to? Any reccomendation?

Just toying with the idea of the very muscular looking naked FZ1.

It's been a long time since i've ridden a Yammy.....

 

anyway, no urgency at all.

 

If have, good. if dont have doesnt matter the slightest bit.

 

The bike will end up in my frontyard doing nothing.

I'm just "chow kuan"......

Our tank is 18L capacity....for me it's 170+ for 13L....

 

No worries, just wondering how you can manage to hit that kind of mileage haha.

 

Our full tank how many litre? dry to super full... i can run 270km on that near totally full tank... so i'm calculating about 12 to 13 litres for our full tank bah... maybe i'm wrong man... if it's then sorry...

I think for most of us (90%) wont really use the performance difference between the FZ1 and R1 if we spend most of the time commuting.

A Jack of all trade bike is more than enough for a master of none like me. :cheeky:

Our full tank is 18L . I normally pump arnd 13L when the reserve meter starts to run at the 220km mark , which is roughly arnd 17km per litre .

Ur bike is the Gen 2 model?

I manage average 18-18.5 per L. Gen 1 with 17+4L
