anyone off 2moorw?

Me. :cheeky:

Guess which word had this meaning.

1. Any code or set of principles containing different provisions for one group of people than for another, esp. an unwritten code of sexual behavior permitting men more freedom than women.

2. A set of principles permitting greater opportunity or liberty to one than to another, especially the granting of greater sexual freedom to men than to women.

3. A set of principles establishing different provisions for one group than another; also, specifically, allowing men more sexual freedom than women.

Dunno why I have this stigma. I dun like to use those designated "touring tyres".

No confidence in them.

Prefer tyres like the Metz M1, Bridgestone BT-014, Michelin Pilot Sport and Power/2CT.

Tyres like the BT-020, etc scare the bejeeezus out of me.

BT-020 not that bad lah.

Was thinking of trying BT-020 when my current BT-014 runs out.

Dry roads, its fantastic, but I dun really like the feel on rainy days.

Anyone just changed tyres? Any comments on price and mileage for everyday use?

My bike 2nd hand, but the tyres quite new.

Am looking for some long lasting ones as my daily mileage rather high at 60-70km.

When I change the tyres, I am going to fix the L-angle tyre nipple also, cos pumping the tyres with the usual tip is quite troublesome using that long pump handle.

The price diff not much actually between the 014 and 020. But how long they can last will change the equation abit. Ur previous tyres last how long, as in mileage?

I like the Bt014 when the road is dry, but not so when it rains. How the Bt020 fare to you?

I find that I got to pump the tyres every week. it's losing maybe 2-3PSI a every 1-2 weeks. Didn't find any cuts though.

Will see how long the tyres last and gather some feedback on the various tyres. Have seen some good reviews of the 'budget' Continental tyres on Net and mags.

some are old, but i suppose still relevant.

The last time I used a Continental tyre was 5 years back? That time riding the NSR and was not happy with the grip. If i remembered correctly, it was of korean origin.

Signing out already.

Another day of sh*t work tomorrow. :(

Salvaged by the 1 hr to and fro ride. :)

BT-020 not that bad lah.

Ya la. But I can still feel the diff. Less confidence.

FZ6 used the Pilot Sport. Then the GSR used BT-020. The BT020 doesn't feel as planted as the Pilot. :o

The pilot rd 2is not really a touring tyre . The tyre's performance is btr the the pilot rd i used . Its similiar in performance to the M1 tyres i used b4 . N i did have the luck to try out the tyres in a heavy downpour n the grip was there . I didnt feel like riding on teflon rds like on the OEM pilot rd .

Best of all , i have been enjoying the cornerings n the higher confidence of having smaller u-turn radius on it .

I got 1 at LAB , costs arnd $30 , forgot the brand , but he say its the double layer type . Water didnt seep thru since i bought it , but its starting to leak after almost 2yrs of usage . I bought the biggest size as i anticipated putting side boxes , n it came in a box .

Is it the Okado brand of smthing like that? It's double layer but it's not that thick as expected, but have not tried thru rain yet...

I think its the Hokado brand if i not wrong . Its not thick , but kept my bike dry in heavy downpours for the 1st yr , now start to leak at the seams . Maybe due to wear & tear .
