Many fellow riders have ridden the s4 b4 .As a former s4 rider , i feel tat the FZ1 is a good bike to upgrade from . Except tat fuel mileage is lesse rthan the s4 .

There r a few riders who have fixed the top box , ranging from H&B to Givi . I believe the reason y side boxes r popular cos the FZ1 looks nicers wif sidebox as compared to top box .

ur information is very clear , thks for ur reply .Now i will look at fuel comsuption le cos i know 1 L bike require a lot of power so as the petrol, i think i would settle it to 600c then.

alex,,,,,my Fazer with Givi Topbox

i first time see fazer1000cc with givi topbox , thks. now i am convinced tat 1000cc bike can also put box le , not only at 600cc nia... thks...

Guys check wif u all regardin of FZ1 gen2...

currently my gen2 07 FC is about 220km for 15.6L

izit normal? Coz i heard frm my frd sayin tat 07 has better FC den 06..n of coz 06 slightly more powerful den 07...dunno if its truth. :) plz enlighten me ya

Around there too. 225 or so hit reserve. Then top about abt 14+ lits.

Around 15+ km/l or thereabouts.

Which is surprising. Previously my 04 R1 (which the FZ1 engine comes from) gets me 250km to reserve. And that's NOT with gentle riding. I'm pretty throttle happy.

Maybe the R1 is lighter, and hence more fuel efficient?

The hell I know....

Just to check with u all , can fazer 1000cc put top box cos i never see any 1000cc fazer put top box b4 , they only put side box.

But i saw a lot of fazer600cc got put top box. i am riding super4 now ,had been use my box for so many yrs le , so i hope if i change to fz 1000cc , i can put the top box for use. is there anyting to hold the box for fazer?

Last but not least is it as comfortable as s4 the riding posture, is it upright de for fz600 or 1000 de, pls give advice thks,

From : super4 rider, thks

Panniers will always look better. But honestly I prefer top boxes. Top boxes may not look as good, but they give you two key advantage

1) You can still squeeze through traffic as per normal.... FAST! :D Panniers will slow you down.

2) You can corner better with a topbox. It doesn't really affect the COG of the bike like having panniers mounted. With panniers mounted, your COG is affected and you will feel the momentum of those things as the bike rolls on its vertical axis.

Lastly, the older Fazer feels more Super4-ish. The new one is more sporty.

WOnder why my Fz1 manage only 13.5km/litre. U guys normally ride on expressways or those normal traffic lights filled roads. and btw when u fill up... do u all fill up max to the brim..?
