Nope. But I have followed some friends to some cruiser meetups in the past. And sufficed to say, I was constantly looking at my watch.

I mean... whatever floats their boats. It's good that they have a passion for bikes, and all things chrome and all. And doing the ride in style or cool thang...

Me? I'll give it a pass. Thanks. :D

Agreed!

But I'll pass them on the freeway.:bounce:

hey guys, you know tarnishing, scorched stains on the exhaust manifolds can actually be cleaned out with autosol. not much effort required actually, and the results are good, it stays clean/clear for a month or so.

Ahhh.... i better take some time to get this done as i have neglected it for a month or so now the headers..... though i have been religiously sending the bike for a wash.!!!

after the first session of elbow grease, the subsequent ones are a piece of cake. just have to keep up with the routine, involves a bit of discipline:)

Hey guys,

- think i read somewhere, some1 mentioned dat ther's a 'polisher' dat can b bought offselve at 'carefor'.

- it can polish ur header frm 'golden/yellowish' to 'silver/chrome'.

- besides dat, any other 'polisher' dat can buy at petrol stn?

- personally, i think regular maintenance, degrease weekly, (detergent etc), & wash weekly, shd b able 2 maintain e shine.

Yeha i am sure. I was wondering... i was told our headers are stainless steel.... it does mean stainless steel to the "core" or stainless steel "coated"???

If its to the core... i guess autsol wont be too much difference.... unless i polish thru the pipe.

Hey thanks for looking out for me.

Chiap Lee actually has stock of the white TP helmet brought in om 12 th Jul... i was there this evening and they were sticking all the TP police crest onto the helmets!! The white ones are going for SGD80

I relented and bought the Red one of the same model. At $65.... i nearly purchase the Arai Ram3 out of fustration!! BUt thinking that i can only wear one helmet at the time.... i opted for economy!! Whilst a better Shoei for my touring....

The full tank can last 250-280kms depending on how u ride. Longer if you run at a optimum cruising speed.....

If you are concerned with the fuel efficiency of a big bike like the Fazer, then maybe it is not a bike for you.

If ua re asking because u are thinking if the bike can take you to KL in one tank than u might be better assured if u take a break and also a fuel top up along the way like Alor Keroh or the likes....

take a look at the following models.

yamaha tdm900

kawasaki er-6n (or er-6f, fairing)

as far as my research tells me, they both can reach 24km to the litre.

the tdm has 20 litres of petrol. so u'll easily reach 400km wif just 17 litres.

the er-6 has only 15.5 litres. but 300km to reserve is possible (12.5 litres).

no other class 2 bike i know of can reach such figures (given practical riding conditions, not a steady 70kph).

on the other hand, neither bike has more than 80 rear wheel hp. if dis is important to u.
