MO prices:

a) Upon confirmation of 12 kits, a 12% rebate/discount is available. (i.e S$57.80)

b) Upon confirmation of 18 kits, a 15% rebate/discount is available. (i.e S$56.00)

c) Upon confirmation of => 22 kits, a 18% rebate is available. (i.e S$54.20)

Is this prices after discount and included the S$5 for installation?

Past rides are already history....

Current ride: FW VFR 800 ABS

yep fz6. fc is about 21.8km/L. I haven't rode it for long but its pretty constant if i dun include those leakage episodes over servicings. Heard that 19-22 is normal. My friend riding FZ1 get 17km/l leh.. i guess i got a little bit lucky. once in a while i lut the bike also leh :D

haha..then I better than yours a bit...everytime my FC is 20km/l

i think my side boxes and style of riding plays a big part.

im saddened that my fc is about 16km/l but its a heavy bike with a heavy rider. so nothing much i can do abt it right?

just sit back and enjoy the ride.

i realised if u drive a honda jazz gently enough, i can achieve about 15-16km/l. 1.3L car weighing about 5times more than my bike getting the similar fc......go figure.....

Hmm..a little info here on the Raceshield MO.

Walk-in customers,$60(headlights only) + $5(installation) = $65 nett.

Our MO prices:

a) Upon confirmation of 12 kits, a 12% rebate/discount is available. (i.e S$57.80) >>> $57.80 + $5 = $62.80

b) Upon confirmation of 18 kits, a 15% rebate/discount is available. (i.e S$56.00) >>> $56 + $5 = $61

c) Upon confirmation of => 22 kits, a 18% rebate is available. (i.e S$54.20) >>> $54.20 + $5 = $59.20

The 12%,15% and 18% discounts are base on $60 or $65? My calculator no matter how I pressed also cant get the figures of $57.80,$56 and $54.20 leh.My grades in Maths haven pass since PSLE,so maybe someone can enlighten me.

u riding fz6? I'm using side boxes too leh. perhaps style of riding? I tend to change gears at 4k to 5k, sometimes lut a bit more, drag gears.

I believe it should be calculated this way to get the figures we were told.

Our MO prices:

a) 12 kits - 60 x .88 = 52.8 + 5 = $57.80

b) 18 kits - 60 x .85 = 45 + 5 = $56

c) 22 kits - 60 x .82 = 49.2 + 5 = $54.20

Correct?

Please check my metal sums ;)

Yes it is James996. 12% for product only, then add $5 for installation. So e.g S$57.80 is nett & final

(Started this thread in the Accessories section, might tot of sharing you guys also)

Hi people,

thought of sharing some useful information with you guys.

For those who read the UK BIKE mag, you should already know what is coming.

I've listed down the short summary of the tyres reviews the BIKE mag did over these few months. Please do note these are basically based on the grip, feedback of the tyres. (Prices are quoted in UK pounds)

I suppose they will round up the tyres for a review again based on the tyre life also, as they mentioned a few issues ago. In the meantime, here is what I've compiled. Enjoy. :)

1000cc Sportsbike tyres

5 Stars

PIRELLI Diablo Rosso ($221)

"...quick steering, accurate, good on the brakes...etc. Just that bit sharper than the rest"

4 Stars

METZELER Sportec M3 ($206)

"Supposed to have longer tyre life and wet grip. Ace for stability"

DUNLOP Qualifier D209 (199)

"Ace rubber."

CONTINENTAL Contisport Attack ($190)

"Plenty of feel. Abit slower steering. Stable."

BRIDGESTONE BT016 ($229)

"Replacement for BT014. Feedback is total."

MICHELIN Pilot Power 2CT ($201)

"great feel from the front and they get right onto their sides..."

3 Stars

AVON Viper Sport ($175)

"Nice tyres, abit slower turning than some in the group, but still very good"

2 Stars

MAXXIS Supermaxx Sport ($140)

"No probs with handling, stability or agility. But heavier and slower to turn than the rest""

Sports Tourers

5 Stars

PIRELLI Diablo Strada ($180)

"loads of grip...perform perfectly"

DUNLOP Roadsmart 3TC ($180)

everything is very controlled...on par with PIRELLI...very sporty"

4 Stars

MAXXIS Supermaxx M6029 ($130)

"Budget option, but performance is close to others."

MICHELIN Pilot Road 2CT ($190)

"Fantastic. In all the areas-stability, confidence, feel & handling"

METZELER Roadtec Z6 ($190)

"Special emphasis on long life. Could take these tyres on the occasional trackday. "

BRIDGESTONE BT-021 ($170)

"Feel really stable, composed. Excellent sports potential and a competitive price"

AVON Storm ST ($180)

"Feel more like sports tyre than touring tyres. Very agile"

3 Stars

CONTINENTAL Contiroad Attack ($180)

"Lowest scoring tyre (among those tested) but still fone for normal riding"

Middle Weight

5 Stars

DUNLOP Roadsmart ($171)

"You will have to ride like a maniac on the road to find out the limits of these tyres" (DUNLOP suppose the tyre will last longer than the competitors in terms of tyre life)

4 Stars

BRIDGESTONE BT-021 ($189)

"Good, stable tyre. Felt quite plush, not soft, but they rode the bumps well"

AVON Viper Sport ($139)

"Need a little bit more effort to get them to do the same thing(as the other tyres), but we are talking at eighth or nine tenths here"

3 Stars

PIRELLI Diablo Rosso ($191)

Feels sportiest...but completely unnecessary for this type of bike. (Tested bike is Honda CBF600N. Like Super 4 lah!!!! :) )

MICHELIN Pilot Power ($189)

"Too sporty(for this bike). (I suppose they mean for normal road riders, it's pointless to use a sports tyre on a commuter bike)

CONTINENTAL Road Attack ($159)

"Feel stable and quiten slow to turn. Not bad, but overall not nearly as good as either the PIRELLIs or the DUNLOP"

Nobody mentioned anything about their pick of tyres?

What would most of you go for?

1000cc or sports tourer category?

price diff is abt 20%, might as well get the best?

I wonder if the prices listed are in S$?

And where from?

The Diablo Rosso is considered a Sport tyre? Or sport touring tyre?

Looks mighty expensive if it's just a mere sport touring tyre....

Personally I'll go with sport tyres. More grip is always better. I rather change tyres than change fairings or other bits.
