Well 1/2 aircraft in a way... :cheeky: The use of these aliphatic urethane film originated from shielding the leading edges of chopper blades.

CMYRS, I am very puzzled with your mishap. We have travel right behind bikes at proximity of as close as 25metres of up to 282kmh with countless debri kicked up by their rear tires w/o damage on the shield. At the very worst is a "mark" on the rubbery surface (the rubbery surface is dissipating the impact)

I personally can only deduce at your travelling speed indicated, whatever hit the shield is BIG.

If you can PM your contact, I will most gladly to drop by personally to view & scrutineer your mentioned damage. I am curious too. :thumb:

Aircraft grade?

Sadly, I am to announce 2 tiny holes due to stone chips at speeds below 80km/h. Somehow, it made a hole in the race shield and the paint work below.

It was one hell of a pierce!!

Even race shield couldnt help

Thank You.

Regards,

AR2 Performance

There's something wrong with the PM function, my no. is 9199 2019.

You can sms me and drop by, I'll be home performing bike spa for 2hrs.

Nothing big hit the bike, it must have been something sharp, enough to penetrate raceshield and paintjob.

Hi all just got my new ride, fz600. Been reading through all the threads to learn more about the bike.. Hope to learn more about the bike from the "lau jiaos" here. haha.

By the way any coolant to intro, as it seems that the heat thats coming out near to my legs is quite warm especially on day time. Saw some of you using maxima, is it good? Anyone using Ice coolant? Any review?

Can I check one more thing, how many k rpm does the valves open?

I do find that our bike tend to be "hotter". But what i found was that changing the radiator coolant to an "aftermarket" one instead of the one filled by Yamaha, helps a little.

I am using Maxima Coolant and it does bring the temperature down by 5-8deg and when it does heat up. The coolant seems to be able to dissipate heat a lot quicker.

Over time coolant will lose it effectiveness............then again... what do i know...... whahahahaha

I have copied what have typed out recently about my own experience with the Maxima Coolant. As for Engine Ice... cant comment.
