The book is for FZ before 06 model. Any lobang for the 2005 & below FZ? Maybe if i can try to see what's the diff between 06 & 05's some of the minor parts. Would be useful to see if there are any interchangables.

sure have...lightbulbs, foot pegs, handle grips, brake calipers and the list goes on...:D

Gd afternoon bro!

Yah Yah... the bike needs a man to ride it before it go rite?

Was checking 05 R1 part compare to 06 FZ1 parts, the brake caliper is almost the same part number but the rear 2 numbers diff. so i guess that was cos of the mounting base is diff.

most probably the distance between the mount bolts....the brake calipers are just fine, just change the master pump to brembo...it works wonder, single finger braking..:thumb:

Hahaha... it's ok la.

You are saying changing the levers only the pump itself? Not sure if brembo can use CRG or titex type levers. If you pay attention, our stock brake system is by Brembo too. It's the factory Brembo.

The aftermarket brake pump have bigger bore and radial type brake pump which translated to better braking efficiency.

Sad to say, seems like got ppl 'Ali Baba' this type of aftermarket goodies.... Owner must feel the pain when they lost their's... :dot:

Not sure abt FZ6. FZ1 Gen2, yes. Well, it's a factory Brembo, so nothing really, it's pump like Nissin or Tokico. There is one Discacciati 20 x 20 for sales. Hmm.... a power braking must have. SBF Garage Sales for Discacciati 'boo lek' pump Look at the bore size!!

FZ should be able to use! Just checked the site... of course i believe that it maybe a waste if to apply to stock braking system, although significant effect maybe seen.

no, you cant use other type of levers if you are using brembo master pump...

on the pump size, there are two, 18 X 19 and 19 X 20...the one i am using is 19 x 20,..this is the single finger braking

the stock pump should be using a 18 X 19 set up...yup, even the stock rear brake pump is brembo, at least for the gen1, not sure about the gen2 though

@pichudot

If you are just changing the lever, i guess is just for fashion statement only, might as well stays stock...changing your lever wont make your brakes more effective.

It doesnt look weird with the lever of the clutch and brake looking different. am using a grey color coating flip-up clutch lever that i bought from biketech21, dont know the brand, but it blend in well with my brembo

wad is the meaning of 18 x 19 and 19 x 20 setup? can further advice?

hmmm... guess me going for both effective braking as well as fashion statements... :lovestruck: right now got the brake hose le, intending to change pump thingy as well as levers... guess i'm not going for brembo brake calipers as it's too expensive le and it's kinda like theft invitation to me sia...

:angel: Hahaha.....I like the words 'Fashion Statement' bro, your ang moh powderful leh. :)

if i nvr remember wrong the front number is the diamter of the piston bore & the rear is the distance of the piston travel within the master cylinder.

The master cylinder (M.C.) is the pump housing 'body' of the M.C. You can see FZ's braking stroke is by depressing the lever then the piston is depress via a 'pusher' at an angle into the M.C. itself to create pressure through the hydraulic fluid which channel onto the calipers. Hence the brake pads are 'squeeze' onto the disc plates to stop the bike.

Radial brake pump's M.C. react directly to the pusher and push directly into the M.C. to create the direct pressure to the fluid and onto the calipers. Many says this is more effective way. I do not use this type of pump on FZ so can't say how good it is.

Brake system consist components :

1. Brake calipers, To grip the plates,

2. Disc plates, to be gripped by calipers,

3. Master cylinder, powerhouse to channel the squeeze force to the calipers,

4. Brake hose, transporting the fluid, Steel braided hose is more effective as it does not 'bloat'. Pressure is directly to the calipers than to use to bloat the hose, (see pics)

5. Lever, to amplify the squeeze from our finger to push,

6. Fluid reservoir, to hold compensating hydaulic fluid to the M.C.

7. Brake pads, the direct holding medium to the plates.

8. Hydraulic fluid, also got different types to use.

These are the basic components to the standard braking system. Afetrmarket stuffs usually makes braking more effetctive even when the machine is used under more extreme conditions. So you dun see Rossi or 'racers' using stock system. The 'Boo lek' strength is not quick and short to stop their extreme speed.

Using brembo 19rcs. 19x18 feeling / braking power slightly better den stock. 19x20 really good for one finger braking.. budden the risk of getting it stolen very high...
