bro intruder, thx for the help

:)

Not mention at all bro. Didn't help much either la. Only provide you some info.... BTW how come you know to call me? Someone told you abt my dirty tricks?

my bike keep having error code 35, same as my senior's no.

maybe error 35 = means to change bike?

my bike's coolant 3yr n 5months liao, 80,000km still havent change b4

power bo?

Maybe 35 also symbolised as RICH! aka ...'Wu lui' $$$$ You use a marker write 35 on your meter see if tomorrow kena 4D or not... if kena big big.... Get another FZ1 and keep your current 'Wu lui 35' at home and polish everyday lor.. You can save the changing of your coolant money too! NB! 80 000km no change coolant... later sludge all come out and choke up your rad then your know.

;) HUAT AH! Defective cooling system then 'Huat kuay' liao

Cheers!

dear all seniors/lao jiaos

wan to ask u all something

just now, out of playfulness, i rev the bike into red line on gear 2

suddenly the throttle die, no response, began dying, and do no respond to throttling

then i off engine, then when i crank again, super loud backfire happened, and bike came abck to working ... wat's wrong?

2nd gear, red zone? You pop wheelie ah? Possible you have flooded the cylinder/s and rich fuel mixture by over rev and 'choked' the engine. Loud POP sound possible from the initial firing up explosion with unburnt fuel in your cylinder/s from the previous rev. Not healthy to POP POP! Causing unnecessay stress to the engine parts within.

Normally this should not happen (die down engine) unless your fuel is set way way too rich or defective injector that crazily spray fuel into your cylinder at some point of time which is not desire.

Please dun play this la... later your engine kaput the cost you more. take care of her and she will take care of you. Though she may get sick eventually.

Now any abnormal noise like tinkling sound or looser knocking sound from your engine or not? If yes, you got to take care liao. Parts may starts to experience the wear and tear liao. I killed my CBR this way..... by trying hard to redzone her at speed more than 220kmph (gauged)

Good luck and ride safe dude.

thanks for the reply. can i lower the fork myself or must go to mechanic there? btw where and what brand of the thing that prevents bike damaged if fall stationary can i get?

sorry for so many newbie question. thanks in advance

yes you can lower your fork if you know how to..if you are unsure then go to your favorite bike shop and ask them to assist you to lower your fork, 1/2 inch is good enough although you can go for 1 inch

that thing is called frame sliders or sliders for short

i dont think so, he earns more at our work place doing OT..i think the reason for his high mileage is his frequent round island visits of massage palours and thai disco...:D

My friend, which part of the engine block? From top, side or where?

Hopefully it's your loose hose or spilled coolant while you are topping up... if not, probably some parts of the engine gasket is leaking. Take note on this, dun play play.... worst scenerio is coolant may sip into your engine internal (not hi chance but possible if your inner gasket break too).

Clean dry and check where is the leaking source from.

leaking source is a cracked O-ring from the thermostat. took out tank. saw the inside of the engine block all stained with maxima coolaide. lol. changed a new o ring. seal it up. hopefully nothing goes wrong in the coming days.

Loose mirrors anyone?

I tried to find the cause and save myself over $100, since my left mirror went gay on me (broken, limp wristed action).

Took out the mirror and popped out that oval cap

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v161/DeusXMachina/DSC00316.jpg

Another look. Can see it's some kind of bolt.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v161/DeusXMachina/DSC00317.jpg

... that connects through to the other end

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v161/DeusXMachina/DSC00320.jpg

So it's a bunch of washer-like springs clamping down. The mirrors shaky cos apparently the washer springs are loose.

So I thought of hammering the two ends together to tighten it.

Grabbed a chisel and whacked it into that top hole

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v161/DeusXMachina/DSC00321.jpg

And another chisel at the bottom.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v161/DeusXMachina/DSC00322.jpg

Then whacked it.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v161/DeusXMachina/DSC00323.jpg

Feels a little tighter after I reinstalled it. Less shakiness.

Can only tell tomorrow when I ride it out. Will update then.
