haven your friends heard of burnt, melted wiring, retifiers, coils of honda bikes?

Can your biking friends list why is FZ6 a problematic? and why kawa are not so reliable? Please ask them to share the horror stories. I am a horror fan.

Every bikes gt pros and cons.Just see how you deal with it.

Eeeekkkksss.. i experienced this first hand horror (all of the above -mentioned problem) on my previous CBR900RR.

Have owned Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki and Honda bikes

all others never gave me so much headache as my CBR900RR. This one takes the cake.

Mechanical problems are easier to spot and ratify. Electrical/Electronic problems like tikam2 sia... change this, change that... haiz...:faint:

well that's just my luck i guess. not saying all Honda's are bad...just that i have such bad experience with this one that i sworn myself off Honda bikes. :p well that's just my personal opinion.

But i'm sure by now, Honda should have done something about their electrical system in the newer generation bikes.

LOL. Electrical probs suck.

My previous FZS600 thundercat worked fine mechanically. Electrically, it was quite a nightmare at times.

Honda always have a weak electrical dept.Just take a look at STX,VFR and CBR...till now still having problems and they haven sack them all.hohoho.

I had friends having STX sensors problems, VFR stator coil problems and the latest CBR 1000 have flat batt on his few months old 09,he changed a brand new one and the batt will go flat if he haven ride it for 3 days time.

Hi one and all. My 1st entry into naked bikes forum. I've some questions. Perhaps the fazer guys can help me. Plse be as honest as possible, pull no punches.

I'm currently riding a super 4 spec3. A very good bike indeed. But I'm itching to upgrade to ahigher CC. 1 litre will be a dream come true, but I reckon for now I seriuosly considering 600 ~ 750. Fazer6 and Kawa ER6N looks great both technically and in design.

However some of my biking friends said that the F6 is problematic and that kawasakis are not so reliable. Many suggested Honda although most said that the Fazer 1 is great.

I'm sceptical though. Maybe my friends were just being biased or they have heard horror stories about Fazer 6 and kawasakis. Frankly the new totally naked Fazer6 S2 and the xj6 look awesome and so is the ER6N. Hope you guys can throw some light. Appreciate any feedback and thank you in advance.

Hi HanuMan,this is some of my personal opinion on Fazer S2.If your're coming from honda made motorcycle, you will find the engine of FZ6 is relatively noisy.I was like you coming from super four,I find the low end torque of FZ6 is almost next to nothing, you need to rev the bike in order to feel some decent power. The "feel" is almost like superfour if you don't rev and open throttle wide enough.

If you are looking for day and night difference from your current ride, you will be will rather disappointed with FZ6.Get yourself a FZ1 or a V twin to really"feel" the difference.

In term of reliability,is still too early to tell.Haha..my FZ6S2 is under my care for less than 6 mths only..But I believed there shouldn't be much problem with modern motorcycle.

Lastly the price of FZ6 is dirt cheap and compare to other maker.I got my FZ6S2 ABS for less than $15000 OTR.

hey guys, saw the xj6 at a carpark near my girlfriends place. super small bike imo. look at the size of it beside my 125cc roadwin r. my rear tire is 150 and the xj6's 160 rear tire does not seem to justify the look of a 600cc bike.. kinda disappointed.. expected it to be bigger.. the seat height seems to be the same as my bike too...
